@Zed - Thanks! While the Fortune hex is definitely useful (especially if I wanted to combine it with Cackle Chant), there are other hexes I could take/could've taken that fit better with her as a Nature shaman. I think I must've derped when I picked that one or something.

You know, I'm starting to realize just how versatile/powerful the shaman is as a class. They can wear medium armor right off the bat, have decent BAB progression (3/4 class I think?), decent skill points, can become quite versatile once their Wandering Spirit/Wandering Hex abilities come online, and if you're Human/Half-Elf/Half-Orc you can pillage spells from the cleric spell list via FCB!

So, the weapon attunement... would I be able to apply that to my kinetic blast? If not the blast itself, how about my kinetic blade infusion?

I'm also thinking ahead to my expended element at lvl 7. It makes sense to go earth again, pick up metal blast, grab the utility talent that allows me to overcome DR/silver, cold iron, or adamantine, but at the same time... aether can force-choke people!

GM, How far are we going in a post after leaving Ravenmoor? To Galudria? Sandpoint? I need to know for reasons.

Heck, if you think that events may occur between now and 7th level to where Shadlah would want to force-choke people then go for it! :D

Shadlah - I guess the Kinetic Blade Infusion would probably be the thing that you attune against although... if we weren't going with Auto Bonus Progression, are there any items that would enable you to get +number bonuses to your blasts or blades? Hmmmm - something to research quickly I think...

Joanna - after Ravenmoor, a single post will probably take you to Galduria...

All - sorry for lag on the gameplay post... Been getting festive season advent calendar stuff ready for the kids... And mulling over this part of the story...

So the kinetic blast counts as a weapon for the purposes of feats, but the kinetic blade counts as an actual weapon. (Tangentially, would I be able to shape it as an earthbreaker even though you need specific feats to wield one as a one-handed weapon?) So... An amulet of mighty fists wouldn't add to it, since it's not a natural weapon... It's a bit weird, and I guess at the end of the day it comes down to how generous you feel. I'll accept whatever ruling; it's already pretty damn good.

Oh, and while I'm asking questions, will I be starting with any hero points?

By RAW you cannot apply ABP to your kinetic abilities, just like you can't apply them to ray spells or the elemental blasts from sorcerer bloodlines or oracle revelations. Zed could houserule otherwise if he feels super generous.

Also, I could be wrong but for some reason I think he said you'd start with 1 hero point...

And it begins. I've talked to the GM about this and, well, let's just say that turnabout is fair play. I tend to put the PCs in my games through a wringer, and it's only fair that I do the same to my PCs every once in awhile. Hopefully, this won't wind up being tedious, but it should be fun to see Joanna come apart at the seams on the way back.

Anyway, I'm not really feeling up to listing the changes at the moment, but here's Joanna's updated stats.

When she'll get to use them is up to debate, seeing as how she's not going to be sleeping well. >:3

Like I said, I'll accept whatever ruling. As it is, I'm attacking at +7 for 2d6+7 damage every round (assuming I'm in point-blank range), which bumps to +8 for 2d6+9 as soon as I take burn (which I might well end up doing at the start of each day, for the bonus and to boost my flesh of stone ability to DR3/adamantine).

So, I don't really need it at all. :P And yeah, it depends on how generous Zed feels. I can see an argument being made for allowing it to enhance a kinetic fist or kinetic blade, but it isn'tmy game.

Also, looking over the infusions more, I've decided to swap both of mine out for extended range (for emergencies) and bowling infusion (because hell yes tripping is awesome). Hope that's legit, since I haven't begun play yet.

Oh, Adam, it's nice to see you torment one of your own characters for a change ;-) All: I can't really complain, though, seeing as I pretty much custom-made a character for him to put through the wringer.

One more note: holy cow, Shadlah has more hp than anyone else in the party. Shame she'll be taking buckets of nonlethal damage!

So… I think your HP are now:

Ziomarra 22HP (+5 to Level 4; 4 Avg Class, 1 CON)
Joanna 36HP (+8 to Level 4; 6 Avg Class, 1 CON, 1 FCB)
Teldon 27HP (+6 to Level 4; 5 Avg Class, 1 CON)
Briana 32HP (+8 to Level 4; 5 Avg Class, 2 CON, 1 FCB)
Arsith 35HP (+8 to Level 4; 5 Avg Class, 2 CON, 1 Toughness)

Plus, Shadlah – I make your HP to be 43HP – am I missing something somewhere?
Level 1: 13 (8 Max Class, 4 CON, 1FCB?)
Level 2: 10 (5 Avg Class, 4 CON, 1FCB?)
Level 3: 10 (5 Avg Class, 4 CON, 1FCB?)
Level 4: 10 (5 Avg Class, 4 CON, 1FCB?)

Could everyone, when they have time, update their sheets and the info in their character tab? Looks like there are some cool character developments this time around…

I'll get my profile updated later in the day after I've had some sleep since I don't trust myself to transcribe correctly when I'm tired, heh. But yes, Briana is up to 32 HPs now - that should help since we've already established that she seems to get beat up a lot for not being a fighty type :)

Re: torturing characters - It's interesting, I was actually telling my husband a little bit about this particular game the other day and what Joanna was going through and his response was (more or less), "I know everyone's mileage varies, but I've never understood the appeal of having drama like that involving a character of mine. For me, this game is a fun escape from the real world; if I want to see a flawed character, all I have to do is look in the mirror."

While I understand where he's coming from, I think I'm somewhere more in the middle...PF is a good chance to escape from life for a bit and be someone else (or more specifically, the Big Damn Hero) but I have to admit that I do like having opportunities for character growth whether from a good occurrence or a bad one. Of course our real life games tend to be pretty lighthearted beer-and-pretzels style, so that's a large part of why I do PbP - to get my RP on!

Anyway I'm not sure if this post really had a point or not; my thoughts get rambly when it gets late...

I've spent a long time trying to figure out why I like tormenting my own characters, especially since RP is supposed to be an escape from the real world. The 'real me' is battling depression, anxiety, and living with an autism spectrum disorder - so why do I create characters with the same issues? Why have I made an aspie wizard, a bard trying to mask his own doubts and fears with snark and drink, a veteran dealing with the loss of everything he held dear? Why do I make my medium absolutely crazy from the arguing voices she always hears? Why make a samsaran investigator who resorts to hallucinogens to block out the constant whispering sussurus of his blurred-together past lives? Why bother playing a witch with crippling anxiety and shyness when I battle those things every day?

I honestly don't know. Maybe it's masochism. Maybe I don't feel as though I deserve to even pretend to be someone who isn't battling these issues. Maybe it's because I like drama. Maybe it's sadistic glee, being able to watch my own characters suffer from the torment I put them through. Maybe it's simply because it makes for fun role-playing. Maybe it's because perfect is boring. Maybe it's because it's easy to play someone flawed, because that's all I've ever known how to be.

I think I just got heavy and rambly, myself. Sorry, folks.

I can't speak for Ronnie, but for me, it's more about being able to see someone who has some of my flaws triumph despite them. Joanna is a naive young girl. She's lead a sheltered life and just wants to help people as best she can. She joined the Pathfinders because she figured that she'd be able do more while traveling from site to site.

On the whole, it can be cathartic to play a character that has similar issues because as they work through it, you can work through it. Most of my characters suffer from some form of depression, and lots of times, there's a good bit of low self-esteem to go with it. Like Ronnie I suffer from depression, though it has gotten better over time. I also have trouble with a low opinion of myself, which has lead some people to call me arrogant, or something along those lines, because I assume people are smarter than I am. It's not all that simple, but that's a big draw.

Or maybe I'm just a sadist in denial. That's a possibility.

Also, I contend as a writer that flawed characters are more interesting to read about than ones that are just two dimensional.

Just a heads up, in case you missed it, I'm starting up a Fate Core game. Currently I'm recruiting, so if you are interested, check the thread here: Recruitment Thread

I'm actually a little shocked by the lack of interest. I understand that APs and Pathfinder games are the most popular, but it's surprising what the difference is.

For what it is worth from the GM perspective, I am really enjoying how Ravenmoor has affected the friends – as written, it is a pretty dark module and a pyrrhic victory is probably the best that players can hope for!!! I think it had much more impact because we weren’t one-shotting the module – people came with histories, relationships and motivations that were properly embedded into their characters… so I think that the responses feel very real… and, might I add, are better written than I could have done!!! Over the course of the many adventures that I hope we get to run through, there will be many times where you emerge from the darkness as heroes… where the outcome is glorious… and they will seem that much more glorious because you have darkness to contrast with the light.

…so, from my perspective, I am really enjoying the ‘aftermath’ – I think that Ravenmoor should get a new welcome sign; ”Welcome to Ravenmoor, It Changes People”.

Adam / Joanna - it's strange, you never quite know what people will be interested in until you pop a recruitment thread up - for my part, GM'ing five games is almost certainly my bandwidth limit!!! The one game that I am actually playing in will come to an end fairly soon but until then I'm trying hard to repeat the oft-said mantra of 'no more games... no more games".

Okay, finally got Briana (and Rowenna) updated here, so we should be good to go.

Re: tormenting characters - I hope I didn't hit on a sore subject or come across as judgmental in any way as that wasn't my intention. Sometimes things cross my mind regarding Pathfinder and I occasionally bring it up in one game Discussion thread or another because I'm curious to see what the other people I play with think. Jo's post more or less confirmed what I suspected in that for at least some of the people who 'torture' their characters, it's likely partly out of desire to tell an interesting story and partly as a cathartic exercise for personal reasons. Maybe the whole 'write what you know' thing?

I've noticed that over the nearly two years that I've been PbPing, my own decisions regarding character backgrounds and such has begun to branch out. Initially, I partly jumped into the PbP scene as an exercise in improving my own creative writing skills and to simply enjoy the RP aspect of the game that tends to be lacking in my F2F games. Most of my early characters had personality flaws like anyone else, but I almost never had anything extremely tragic or disturbing reflected in their backgrounds, barring my changeling inquisitor for a Carrion Crown game.

Nowadays, I've noticed that I feel more...comfortable(?) in trying to write characters that have more serious issues than just being a bit clueless or naive. I suppose comfort level is something that comes into play for me; since I am lucky enough to not struggle too much with things like depression, I feel hesitant to try writing that into a character for fear of upsetting or offending people who do. Though for what it's worth, I do have some understanding of anxiety, shyness, and a low opinion of oneself.

Re: Fate game & Recruitments - I've skimmed over the Fate system but I've had sort of a hard time coming up with anything that really grabs me for a character idea. Though I've watched some sci-fi (and really enjoyed the Mass Effect series if anyone else here is into video games), I've never seen Firefly or Serenity. I know someone proposed a crazy scientist already, but I dunno...maybe a medic or a tech junkie? I'll need to reread the thread again, heh.

And yeah, I keep saying 'no more games'...but then I keep reading the Recruitment subforum like a goober. Heck, I've already got the makings of character ideas should Zed eventually don a pirate hat and if Teldon starts up that Runelords game ;_;

Lol- I keep saying no more games too but I'm like 90% sure I'm going to run that RotRL game (at this point I'm pretty much just trying to decide if want to start recruitment this month and have to figure out how to work around the holidays or wait until the new year to recruit).

The Fate game sounds interesting but I'm just not up to learning a new system right now.

I hope I'm up to scratch here, because damn, the RP here is great. Suddenly feeling all insecure about it. Hopefully I can contribute enough!

Re: character torment - That could be it, Adam. It's certainly another possibility. There is something pretty feel-good about seeing Neile find people who care about her, or ol' Spoony getting the chance to confront some of the skeletons in his closet (even if it did throw a spanner in your machinations).

Briana, nah, it's not a sore spot for me, and you didn't come across as judgemental. =) I'm pretty open about my experiences with mental illness - perhaps too much so. For better or worse, it's a pretty big part of who I am. It struck during some of the most important years of my life, and hasn't gone away yet. It's gotten better at times, but recently got much, much worse (those who've played with me before probably know what I'm talking about).

Nobody's perfect. And 'fun' might not be the right word for it, but it's good something trying to write characters who are falling apart at times and still get the job done.

@Shadlah - Based on what I've seen of your writing in our other (short-lived) shared game and your Kingmaker game with Kaz & Co., I suspect you'll contribute plenty :)

But I know what you mean about feeling insecure about writing skills for sure; I feel that way too compared to some of the other players in my games!

@Briana - But you're not even in that game! Are you stalking me? :P (It always throws me for a loop when people say they recognize me from a game they've been following; it's like I have fans and it makes me feel special so I'm really not complaining)

Thanks, though. It might take me a while to really get inside Shadlah's head, but when I do, it should be fun.

Hehe, I've played with/am playing with Hmm in a few games and we occasionally chat via Google Hangouts, too. It's kinda hard not to follow the game since she periodically links to posts she's done or posts the rest of you make, sooo...I guess maybe I am stalking you by proxy? ;)

Shadlah - we need to start thinking about bringing you into the game - I'll PM you in the next short while with some ideas - Teldon made a good suggestion which I think we could use... Probably won't be until tomorrow afternoon (UK) - late here... And a pretty hectic day ahead of me...

Also, I've been having fun reading through the latter parts of Book 1 and working out which parts of the dungeons we will use - I've edited the maps accordingly... Rubs Hands Together in Anticipation ...should be a load of fun - especially as some of Paizo's recent output should really add to the adventure...

I look forward to seeing what you come up with. I'm pretty flexible, so it shouldn't be too hard to bring me in.

GM, can you confirm if I've got this right? These are the traveltimes I have for the trip to Ravenmoor:

Magnimar to Sandpoint - 2 days
Sandpoint to Galudria - 4 to 5 days
Galudria to Ravenmoor - 4 to 5 days

That was on horseback or by coach. I'm guessing that with Shel and the Korzha's in tow, things will take a little longer, so the trip back to Sandpoint would be about 2 weeks. Does this sound about right?

@Teldon: You're sense of timing is impeccable, although if that particular dream comes true, I get the feeling that Teldon won't be so happy about it.

Heh, I needed that. Between this and the RotRL game I run, things have been pretty heavy. Though, I did have some fun recently detailing one of my character's shenanigans in Magnimar while she was apprenticed to the mage that really taught her magic.

Ronnie's character in the same game is actually her best friend, so naturally, poor Helena gets dragged into some of the sillier ones. Posting them below to make it easier to find, and I prove not all of my characters are drama llamas.

Gwyn's Misadventures:

Risque Night at the Theater
Gwyn and Helena, after much prodding from Gwyn, of course, decided to try their luck with performing for some extra coin. The two of them went to one of the theaters in Magnimar, and found that there was indeed some auditions going on. Unfortunately for them, it was for acts of a risque nature, and the two of them were asked to do some performance that involved a slide whistle, a miniature dwarf pink elephant, and a dancing rubber dragon. Needless to say, they left shortly after that and agreed never to discuss the specifics of that performance with anyone, ever.

The Imp Incident
All Gwyn has ever mentioned about this is that it was humiliating and why she doesn't wear loose, flowing clothes. The Academae had a dress code for students and Gwyn was no exception to the rule. One day, some of the students ahead of her had summoned an imp and decided to torment her by siccing an imp on her. Gwyn, being small and not particularly strong, was easy prey for the creature as it proceeded to humiliate her. It took her shoes first, then it lifted the bottom of her robes up, showing off her panties, and then it began to shred her clothes. She was wearing nothing but her underwear and rags before one of the teachers dismissed the fiend.

Drinking with Dwarves
Gwyn got into a drnking contest with a group of dwarves one night. This was the only time Gwyn had ever gotten so drunk she vomited. Helena found her the next morning slumped against the door to her master's shop with a miniature goat in a party hat. Unfornately, Gwyn was also coverd in vomit and looked like she'd fallen deathly ill.

The Alchemy Incident
Gwyn had been sent to fetch some alchemy supplies late one afternoon. The young elf was directed to the basement by the owner, an odd man that smelled of various reagents. Gwyn wound up locked in there for the night, and her master, noticing that Gwyn had not returned, asked Helena to help find her. Right as Helena opened the door and walked in, one of the overloaded benches collapsed, breaking a lot of equipment and making both Helena and Gwyn smell of sulfur. The alchemist, furious at the loss, blamed Gwyn for the accident even though it was obvious the only thing she'd had touched was what she'd asked for. This lead to a falling out between the alchemist and Gwyn's master.

The Drunken Noble's Daughter
Gwyn and Helena had been invited to a birthday party for a young nobleman's daughter, Lady Arabella. Of course, the invitation was more out of respect for Helena's mother and Gwyn's master, but the two of them were expected to attend. Lady Arabella was, to put it simply, a brat. She berated the staff, whined when things didn't go perfectly her way, and, worst of all in Gwyn's eyes, picked on Helena with her posse. Gwyn herself wasn't spared from the verbal abuse, but it was the remarks about Helena that made her blood boil. Lady Arabella had seemed to take particular delight in comparing Helena unfavorably to homely peasant. Gwyn couldn't just publicly embarrass Lady Arabella, the backlash would be too much for it to be worth it. So Gwyn decided to be sneaky and spike the punch that had been reserved for Lady Arabella, due to her weak constitution you understand.

What followed was a night to remember. First was the rather bad wig of one of the head servants. Lady Arabella snatched it off his head and put on her own before doing a rather bad impersonation of him. As the night wore on, and Lady Arabella kept getting more and more drunk, Things kept going downhill for the bratty nobleman's daughter. She began making passes at everyone, especially Helena. She stumbled out of her fancy slippers and into the bosom of a rather pretty merchant that had dealings with her father. Then, Lady Arabella deemed it to be too hot and began to "cool off" by stripping off her fancy dress. Things then got out of hand when she started to complain that everyone was bound to be burning up in their clothes and began trying to strip them as well.

Needless to say, the party was ended early and Lady Arabella and her parents have had to live with the embarrassment ever since. To this day, no one but Gwyn knows how that punch came to be so alcoholic.

The Juggling Guard
Gwyn, as she is want to do while hanging out in a tavern with Helena, was flirting with a guard one night who was rather proud of his hands. Gwyn, always on the lookout for some mischief and more than a tad drunk at the time, dared him to prove it by juggling his sword. The guard rather foolishly agreed to it and on the first toss sent it arc through the air to come slicing down Gwyn's back. The cut was not deep, but is was long and had the effect of sobering Gwyn up in record time. Helena half-carried her to her mother's apothecary with the help of the profusely apologetic guard. There she tended to the wound, using a salve that stung to no end.

The Incident That Shall Not Be Named
The name for this one was given to it by Gwyn's master after a rather spectacular event.

Gwyn had managed to get into an accident in his lab. She was well aware of the dangers of the lab and it was one of the few places she never would pull a prank in. Unfortunately for Gwyn, this didn't stop chance from pulling one on her. She tripped into a cabinet full of various magically ingredients and reagents while cleaning up one day. She was fine, or so she and her master had thought, so she cleaned up the mess with his help and went about her business.

That's when the sneezing started. At first it wasn't anything too bad, mainly sparkles and vibrantly colored clouds that would appear when she sneezed. As the day wore on, however, it got worse. Winds would kick up, and gouts of flame would flare to life with her sneezes. It culminated right before dinner that evening with Helena and her mother. A small sneeze was joined by a poweful eruption of flame, clouds, sparkles, and wind of every color. Gwyn stood in the middle of the kitchen, her clothes scattered about, her cheeks turning cherry red, and her nude body plain to see.

Needless to say, Gwyn was not happy about it, and begged all three of them to never mention it again.

The Incident Of Which We Must Not Speak
A year before coming to Sandpoint, Helena and Gwyn were looking around the Bazaar of Sails when they came across a merchant claiming to have a never before seen spell for sale. Gwyn, a mage in her own right, scoffed at the idea, especially after seeing the battered wand he claimed contained the spell. She could see it was a wand of mending, and a rather poorly made one at that. The merchant threateningly asked if he should prove it, and Gwyn told him to, she'd even pose with Helena as if they were about to kiss passionately if he thought it would help.

Unfotunately for Gwyn and Helena, the wand was poorly made, but not so poorly made that it wouldn't function. As Gwyn held Helena and leaned in as if going for a kiss, the merchant activated the wand, shredding both Gwyn's and Helena's clothing and leaving them in the middle of the bazaar in nothing but their underwear. While before the crowd had paid little notice to the exchange between Gwyn and the merchant, every eye was looking their direction now. Both of the girls turned bright red and tried to cover themselves up, but it was only thanks to the kindness of a nearby merchant that the two of them weren't running around in their undies for more than a couple of minutes.

Strangely, the merchant that had so embarrassed the two young girls found himself the subject of a series of strange and embarrassing events himself. Every time he raised his voice above a whisper or told a lie his clothing would go up in flames, turning his clothes to dust but not even burning him or singing his hair. All of his magically wares would randomly malfunction, often to the detriment of his dignity, and more than once he found his clothes had gained a mind of their own and run themselves up a pole. They stopped after he formally paid reparations and made apologies to both Gwyn and Helena. Though he never said anything, Gwyn suspects that her master was behind the ill fortune.

Of course, both Gwyn and Helena agreed to never speak of this incident save as The Incident Of Which We Must Not Speak.

^ That was great :D

Some of my other games have had amusing shenanigans...heck, the Legendary Planet game of Zed's that I'm in (not the same game as Zee) is an amusing shenanigan with three goblins, a crazy gnome who think she's a goblin and wants to pull down the sun, and a grumpy human summoner (me) and her cheerful eidolon. And I guess we'll be going into space, eventually. Goblins in space. It's pretty much what you'd expect from that kind of a setup :3

Goblins in space?! That sounds amazing!

Definitely enjoying it! Every Kingmaker game I've been in (a grand total of two but still) or have read anything of is always so different from the next, so it doesn't get old.

I've been in one game or another with Hmm for almost a year now. Believe me, I've gotten used to shipping and being shipped, hehe. And to be honest, I've actually really grown to appreciate the depth an in-game romance/fling/whatever can add to things as long as everyone is comfortable :)

I've been in four Kingmaker games. Two are current; one I left because it was moving too quickly for me to keep up; and the last fizzled due to GM Missingitis. For a character I fleshed out quickly to fill a gap, Kaz has really grown on me. He's a blast to play. :D Let's just hope he doesn't die befpre we get a chance to find out if Luthor/Kaz can be a thing.

I just hope I don't end up being the one who makes everyone uncomfortable.

Actually, the dream was a real temptation for him to start wearing the shard because it played on his deepest desires: to be valued, respected, and loved. The pride aspect came in Jo recognizing his brilliance and that being her motivator to change, but for her to show that she appreciates and values him (and reassure him that she really has no ill-will towards him) would actually mean a lot to him. He's spent pretty much his whole life so far being the weird kid who doesn't 'get' emotions and is ostracized for his intelligence and rationalism. He is, however, smart enough to recognize that if all that happened while he was wearing the shard it wouldn't really be real (even though it would still feel good).

Okay, that was a little harder to write than I thought it'd be. Again, let me know if Joanna starts to get annoying to you guys as players.

Joanna - the travelling times on horseback are, as you suggested, moreorless:

Magnimar to Sandpoint - 2 days
Sandpoint to Galduria - 4 to 5 days
Galduria to Ravenmoor - 3 to 4 days

All a bit hand-wavey but it will serve our purposes... Of course, you do have small children in tow right now... So, it could take longer...

Not at all Jo! I hope Briana isn't being too annoying either; she's basically flailing blindly at this point because neither Jo or Teldon are behaving like themselves (or Zee really, being uncharacteristically silent) and she wants to help and she has no idea how to do that. She's also not being entirely altruistic here and is looking to assuage some guilt related to an incident that she's not shared with anyone yet (mainly because it relates to a tie-in with another character of mine that didn't get created until late this summer, heh).

That sad-Teldon post was sad and it made me sad...well done. And from an OOC perspective I'm really enjoying Joanna's struggles even though Briana certainly isn't. Really, I just hope that between the three of us we aren't overwhelming Arsith or Zee, hehe.

We'll see. I imagine that Teldon will probably bounce back fairly quickly. Briana probably won't be far behind.

Joanna, though...

Well, let's just say that the GM and I have been discussing that and it has to deal with the thing I want to write beforehand, but I'm waiting because we're not quite down with Ravenmoor methinks.

That said, what's happening with Joanna is a lot like what I've gone through. She's tearing apart emotionally and mentally because she doesn't know how to deal with what happened. In her eyes she failed and about twenty people are dead, including Nalathi, because she didn't act for fear or indecision. Also, there's a good bit of grief and emotional baggage from when her father died that she's yet to work through. The way Teldon is talking to her, and probably will be talking to her when he isn't so exhausted is just going to add to that, since he doesn't seem to be the type to mince words and sees Joanna as an angry little girl, a liability.

Truth be told, Joanna's not so much angry as she's a person of strong convictions and there have been times where Teldon has suggested or done something that ran contrary to those convictions, so I'm not surprised to see that he thinks that way about Joanna. On the other hand. I have a character or two that would have Teldon questioning their emotional stability because of their tempers.

Actually, I'd probably be playing one of those two if Joanna dies.

Anyway, I really do hope that this is making for an interesting read, or a fun one at least, and not one that's a chore. I am wanting to see what happens next, so I'm constantly hitting the refresh button.

Note, when I mention Teldon, I'm talking about the character, not the player.

Yeah, I do feel a little bad for Zee... She posted about walking into some garbage at work and is probably having trouble making time to keep up with posting and we've been flying through this RP.

Briana, thanks. At this point I think I have a really solid grasp on the stoic, rational, and pragmatic aspects of Teldon's personality, but it was kind of a new challenge to think through and realistically write him when that cracks. As I understand it, many/most people on the autism spectrum he can sometimes be overwhelmed by their emotions and have these kind of breakdowns... That seemed to be appropriate here and I tried to be true to that.

edit: Teldon will recover quickly from Ravenmoor, but his relationship with Joanna has been rocky since the first time she threatened him and this hasn't helped at all. That said- he was trying to stabilize/encourage Jo outside Viorec's house (if that wasn't clear I apologize for that failure in my writing), so I'm not sure there should be any expectation that he'll be speaking harshly to her on the road.
