The party heads upstairs, makes sure the door is safe, and opens it. The floor of this large, T-shaped room is covered with bell-capped purple mushrooms standing a foot or two high. Two massive pillars are teh room's only other visible feature. The southern pillar has partially collapsed and no longer reaches the ceiling. The northern pillar is cracked, but otherwise intact.

The gnome is about to open his mouth and shout, then thinks better of it as Toffitt skulks off into the mushroomey forest.

The two on the north side of the room move toward Glimml and lash at them with a tentacle, but miss. The other two are closer to Toffitt though and launch a barrage of attacks at him resulting in a single hit.
Not sure where Glimmil is headed. AC,38 doesn't exist. I'm going to guess AQ,38 as this would allow a charge to each. However, they're moving in anyway.

Finneas steps up to the one Glimmil softened up and swings with his greatsword. It's not a clean cut, but Finneas hits the mushroom with the flat of his sword. The cap of the mushroom pops off and lands spinning on the ground. The tentacles of this mushroom drop lifeless to the ground.

Glimmil and Cog close in on one of the mushrooms. Cog rips a large chunk of the cap off while Glimmil smashes down on top of the mushroom. His hammer bounces back up after pounding the mushroom almost to the ground. Tentacles lash weakly at Finneas, Cog, and Glimmil in response.
