OK, you follow the blood trail with the raccoon in the lead. You all know better by now than to follow Kronug.
It's interesting as you stroll along following the obnoxious little critter, but this place looks an awful lot like the ruined city you had been fighting in, except it is as if it were of new construction and well maintained.
The trail leads to a building.
Standing in the center of a small, well-kept park is a tall and imposing building made of black and white marble and decorated with beautiful celestial patterns. Four low domes adorn the building’s corners. A tower rises from its central portion to form a large domed structure from which three ornate telescopes protrude from balconies.
Jean David Nau |
Jean wonders if they would be able to "procure" the telescope so they can sell them later. Or part of them.

Marckus |
"Impending catastrophe? No, really, he's housebroken." Marckus says with a gesture to Kronug. "I promise he won't break almost anything. Probably."
Rags McRory |
"We're here with the others that came this way." Rags says cryptically.
Jean David Nau |
Jean tries to bluff the guards.
"Excuse me, gentlemen, but we have just arrived in town. How long before the catastrophe strikes? We are supposed to confirm the reading from the astrologers and make sure everybody is safe from it. So maybe you can be kind enough to open for us, and then go to the shelters. We will do our work and then go to the shelters yourself. I am just worried about the time, I wouldn't like to be here, out in the open, when everything happens, you know?"
Bluff Check: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18 (+1 if potentially sexually attracted)
Kronug the Kellid |
Without me, you are lost...
Kronug, suspecting foul magic, steps forward and uses his left index finger to touch an elf. If they allow it and don't stab me or anything, of course.
Kronug the Kellid |
Kronug spits on the ground "Fukken magick." he says before drawing his blade and entering the place without paying attention to the fake ass guards.
Jean David Nau |
Jean looks at the guards surprised.
"Damn!"
He tries to understand what is happening. And fails.
He goes for the door, ignoring the guards, and sees if it is an illusion too.
Rags McRory |
"I told you to trust the raccoon."
drbuzzard |
Given that Kronug is Kronug, he doesn't wait for you to examine the door-but it is pretty real
You open the door to see:
Inside the gilded doors sprawls a grand entry hall with a richly woven carpet running from the doors to a large silver orrery—a model of the sun and the planets—quietly spinning in time.
Also there's 8 drow in the room, who were apparently alerted by the yelling guards, and they attack as soon as the door opens.
to hit: 1d20 ⇒ 16 damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17 hit Kronug

"I've had it with these motherf~##ing drows in these motherf++!ing ruins!" yells the Kronug as he starts raging.
And the angry kellid proceeds to attack with utmost hate and prejudice the Drow labelled #4.

As far as I know, getting a surprise round makes you aware of the opponent, so no Sneak Attack for us. If I am wrong, add the following

Sneaky Beaky #2: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 2, 1) = 14

Kronug the Kellid |
Actually no, I didn't. I thought being fatigued meant I would be exhausted after raging for the time that Rage says but remain fatigued until the 8 hour nap.
Numbers, then are... 22 and 21 to hit, 24 and 23 damage.
I will remember it, though, but don't count on Kronug Kronuning really hard until next morning
And Kronug's AC is 20 now
