Thank you all for the well wishes.

GM Poblano Pepper |

Yes the Weekend outages have caused some problems, We may be allowed to push the end time frame by a day it all depends on what it is looking like once we approach the end.
Moving forward post incoming.

![]() |

Our school's Internet kept crashing all day long. When I hit enter on the last post it spun out and crashed, so I had no idea what the roll was on the move action. I wasn't sure if I got one attack or not if I had make the check which I obviously did not. Oh well, if I can break free of the webbing on the next round I can be clear of it with a move action and back into the fray.

GM Poblano Pepper |

By the Grace of the Dawnflower I hope so!
I will post shortly. Just have to work on enemy actions.

GM Poblano Pepper |

I am sorry for the no post yesterday. Between the Site outage Yo-Yo and this Migraine I have its been difficult to say the least.
On a good note we are approaching the end and you all are doing great.

Am I allowed to up the DC by 5 on the Acrobatics to attempt to move at Full Speed?
And also... Acrobatics in general on the ice, is it take-10-able?

GM Poblano Pepper |

Am I allowed to up the DC by 5 on the Acrobatics to attempt to move at Full Speed?

for sake of time on play I do not see what not to both.
Yes you can up the DC by 5 and you can take 10.
I am trying to locate rules against but with a quick search I cannot locate at this time. If it is proven that you cannot then we will proceed as such once proof has been located/referenced.
If anyone happens to know I am incorrect please let me know :)

![]() |

I think the first part would be a judgement call. Combining the specifics of the wording of the spell and adding a modifier from the Acrobatics Skill.
The second... Ugh well this is what I get for looking stuff up. Per the rules take 10 isn't supposed to work when in combat.
"Distractions or threats (such as combat) make it impossible for a character to take 10."
I'll just roll it anyway and see what happens. If anyone wants to put their 2 cents in I'm happy to take part in a discussion.

GM Poblano Pepper |

Thank you for locating this Daniel. I will allow this as part of this specific encounter for the time being as I allowed/rolled for another player earlier granting a take 10 as part of it.

GM Poblano Pepper |

I have to admit to you guys, I tend to play more martial classes and shy away from caster types. Whoever designed this encounter is devious and I have a new found respect for casters.

![]() |

Yeah, casters can be rather nasty! I've played casters like this before, and it can be a lot of fun. Just need to be careful that you leave a way for your martial teammates to get to the opponent.
Not trying to step on your toes GM, but unless Daniel's AoO isn't from the cast, he doesn't get one due to your attempt to cast defensively.
Casting on the Defensive: Casting a spell while on the defensive does not provoke an attack of opportunity. It does, however, require a concentration check (DC 15 + double the spell's level) to successfully cast the spell. Failure means that you lose the spell.
The caster loses the spell on a failure, but saves himself from the AoO

GM Poblano Pepper |

Oh thank you Edgar. I misread it

Greetings, oh great and merciful GM,
I have a question about the Stinking Could/Nauseated countdown. I might have been taking 'double turns' by accident! If not, though, then I wonder if the round timer might be off in the most recent post?

GM Poblano Pepper |

Ee gads man I failed... I am behind on the round counts. I am so sorry folks we are in round 5. I have failed you all in this. The Nauseated effect has ended for all persons effected by it and a few other things.
Hold on for another post to follow.

![]() |

No worries, mate! (From a purely selfish perspective, it hasn't mattered up until right now, since my nausea lasted a full 4 rounds then I was hit with sleep as it expired. :))

GM Poblano Pepper |

So between two sick kids and a birthday party on sunday my weekend and days were shot. Sorry for the late post folks but now we have the move along post. May the odds be ever in your favor ^_^

![]() |

Moving this over here.
@Daniel: I do not mean to confuse you on this. The chase rules are written weirdly. To sum up hopefully to ease the confusion you are able to perform a few actions in the chase.
Option 1: If you wish to move forward one square you must use both your move and standard actions, which will not allowing you to make a second move action as Odo was attempting earlier. Only consequence is not being able to move ahead.
Option 2: You can also attempt to move ahead two squares by using a full round action (Move and Standard as with the first option) but you roll a check vs. both obstacles; but should you fail both checks drastically you will in effect not move this round and lose your turn next round.
Option 3: You can perform other actions you would normally perform during a single round of combat (eg. Attack, Cast a spell, Drink a potion, etc.)
Okay, that was what I thought.
Except for Option 2, I thought it was 3 squares not 2.

GM Poblano Pepper |

You are very correct. Sorry I Typo-ed the 2 Squares.
It is 3 Squares of movement with a double Obstacle.

GM Poblano Pepper |

This is technically my fourth, have played in two, advised for another and then ran this one.

![]() |

Quick question for the GM. Looking ahead to the next obstacle I'll encounter (Up and Over, Acrobatics), and looking at the Chase rules on the PRD re: spells/abilities, I thought I'd ask if activating a particular boon would be relevant to the challenge?
If this is too metagamey a question I can accept 'signs hazy, ask again after you try' as a reply, and if there was to be some benefit, I'm perfectly okay with not knowing in advance the details if that's preferable.
Just thought I'd give you the heads up, and thought it worth checking to see if my head is in the right place for using the ability as part of a chase?

GM Poblano Pepper |

Apparently either i forgot to hit submit post or the site ate my post.
Sorry about that.
Moving forward post incoming!
@Redgar: I could see the use of that boon as acceptable for the next portion allowing a +3.

GM Poblano Pepper |

Yay here comes the con support rolls as requested by the Overseer rolls will be done in Alphabetical order per the example Shifty posted here, please do not read other post for fear of spoilers.
Boon Rolls!!!
GM Poblano: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Anduris: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Daniel: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Edgar: 1d20 ⇒ 18
Joaquin: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Odo: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Redgar: 1d20 ⇒ 17
A 1 or a 20 wins a prize.
Boo! no Boons.

Apparently either i forgot to hit submit post or the site ate my post.
I've tripped myself up on that a number of times. I click Preview and then, apparently, fool myself into thinking I actually submitted.

A Brief History of the Thrown halfling and possible reason for a broken keyboard
While playing in a game with GMRePete running it, a certain little Halfling. Had a wonderful idea of tackling an enemy that was a bit out of reach. Had it not been for a player with a good arm. The outcome might have not gone so well.
This idea made a certain GM have a rather wonderful reaction that might have lead to the GM needing to replace his Keyboard at some point in the future.

Allen Poe |

Going to wait till others have a chance to post for Allen. He'll likely give someone guidance again, but not sure who it'll be yet.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Joaquin instead of Assassin's Bane what about Assassin's End! Sounds more ominous.

![]() |

Not sure. Assassin's Bane sounds more open ended and mysterious. What does everyone else think?
I need to get that Keened and start upping the pluses on it.

![]() |

I think I like Assassin's End a little better than Assassin's Bane. I think it rolls off the tongue a bit easier.

GM Poblano Pepper |

No problem Daniel.
Top all of you thank you for playing at my table. I will be posting chronicles by Friday. To make it easier for purchases and what not while I finish up the chronicles you each earned at least 2500 Gold and 2 Prestige.

![]() |

Yeah, thanks, GM Poblano Pepper. I know it can be hard to wrangle this stuff with medical emergencies around and I appreciate your sticking through it.

GM Poblano Pepper |

Alright everyone you will see that the game has been reported. I had a small lul in time this morning so I was able to get your Chronicles done earlier than expected.
If you notice anything off please let me know and will correct them.
It has been fun running this for you all and thank you for sticking with me during the troubling times that came up.
Also If you could please let me know you have downloaded your chronicle that way I can close this thread out quickly.
Safe Travels and Joaquin enjoy your newly named sword ^-^

![]() |

Got it. Thanks for running!

![]() |

Many thanks to our gracious GM for sticking with us despite everything else going on, and to our good GM and my comrades alike for the enjoyable game!
This was my first pbp RPG experience, and it was a very positive one. I hope I kept up my end of things, and look forward to maybe teaming up with you again on forums near or far.
I have now downloaded the chronicle. :)
Thanks again for running/playing!

GM Poblano Pepper |

Alright now that four have confirmed downloading there Chronicles I will be closing out this Thread later today about 3PM PDT.
