Aurora Erthuo |
Checking in, glad to see we have someone from the Keepers of the Veil too. Ludo will be right at home. On my way home and will post in Gameplay tonight.
I read Ludo was saved from a demon and belongs to the Knights of the Pale.
Perhaps Aurora and Ludo have met, maybe while recovering from that attack. If you are interested, we can put together common backstory between them.
Lord T |
Out of Games, yes and no, there are not necessarily laws protecting ogres but there are laws to protect residence and though ogres only make a very minute percentage of the overall population its not unheard of them to be considered citizens or to see one walking down the street even on a bright sunny day. They are consider humanoid according to the bestiary and do have intelligence thus they are sentient.
Ludo the Lionhearted |
Morsai, I'm not going to tell you how to play your character, but you had plenty of opportunities to look up from the book and come along.
"Who is with me?"
"No, we're not going to get to finish any drinks unless its later... If there are children in danger, we'd better go."
"Everyone, we need to leave now in order to catch them!"
"Aurora is right, we could definitely use your help. The rest of you too. The Nutty Black will have to wait. May St. Daris speed us on our way."
The GM also gave you a lead to follow
Morsai out of the corner of your eye while getting deeper into you book, you notice the woman your friends were talking to before they left, walk out of the Minstrel.
Its up to you. Stay at the Minstrel, rule that you joined us eventually or follow the lead from Lord T, but its your choice. Don't make us break from the rest of the story to drag you along.
Morsai Gunderling |
Please.
I'm not going to follow people I barely know that walked away without saying a word to me, especially when I have no clue what they're doing.
I never heard the original comments...then people I wasn't introduced to walked away across a crowded bar.
Thanks for not telling me how to respond to that.
Shol’a’saul |
If I may chime in here briefly...
I personally have no problem with Morsai staying behind in the tavern, since that woman needed to be watched. I do have a problem with Morsai just not doing anything at all. Even if you let the woman go on her way, I think Morsai needs to do SOMETHING here, even if it is just talking to the other patrons ("What do you know of that woman who just left...is she of good repute? etc.)
Going OOC for a moment, this is an adventure and players are meant to work together here, even if they are not in the same place. Morsai, your character looks very interesting and would be fun to RP with, especially with Shol's questionable background. This does require participation from you, however.
I am asking you to give this game a shot and realize we are a team here.
OK I am done chiming in here...this is Lord T's game and I just felt the need to speak up here.
Morsai Gunderling |
I mentioned that in discussion from the beginning...and the only person that ever responded directly to Morsai was an NPC...even though I tried to initiate dialog several times.
He's not a part of this group yet...he knows nothing of what's going on. Metagaming like that destroys immersion for me.
Yes, I joined the game to play...I'd like some interaction, rather than just assumption.
Rain, I would appreciate it. It won't even take much.
Timmins |
It is also possible that Timmins knows him, or at least of him. I agree you have a cool sounding character and I would like to see what he is capable of. I get the feeling we will be returning to the tavern very soon anyway!
Lord T |
Umm there are not really any laws against it perse, as the Knights are not the City Watch. You might run afoul of the Knights of the Pale if they were to find out that you had gone into a place they sealed up. Not that they will likely come and beat you up or throw you in jail over it. You will likely just get a serious reprimand to say the least...but we will come to that bridge if and when it gets crossed. And no you would not need permission necessarily.
Ludo the Lionhearted |
Lord T - is there room for a 2x2 marching order?
Quick check with everyone
1x1 order
1 Timmins
2 Morsai
3 Rain
4 Aurora
5 Shol
6 Ludo (rearguard)
2x2 order
1 Timmins and Morsai
2 Rain and Aurora
3 Ludo and Shol
I'm happy to put Ludo up front if we want to come up with someone else to be rearguard. I figure Timmins and Rain are probably our scouts although Ludo's Perception and scent might be appreciated up front.
Lord T |
So wanted to pose the question you guys since you were far more active in the last week then myself or the other group I was running through this same campaign..said other group has fallen apart however I have potentially three players who still want to play in that group (down from 8ish) would you guys care cause they are only a little bit past you if I bring them into this game?
Lord T |
Cool beans thanks guys, even with a slightly bigger group, I would rather have one thread than multiple....easier for me to keep track off...as to class and races
they are
Tony Nedraid, Male Human Rogue(Swashbuckler)
Orsal Hort, Male Half-orc pirate (bard)
Jesset Litorian, Fighter/Inquisitor
I will let them introduce themselves on the discussion thread and then once you finish this encounter with the ratfolk I will go ahead and bring them in
Orsal Hort |
Hey guys. Thanks for having us.
Captain Orsal Hort, here. The kind of captain that Jack Sparrow was.
cheers
Tony Nedraid |
Checking in!
