Fort. Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
THe spider's bite makes Mogmurch feel a bit woozy. He tries to power through it, though, and hits the spider again.
Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16
Damage: 1d4 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0
I still think that does 1 point of damage.
Realizing that the spider may actually live up to it's name, the goblins jumps back a step.

.. Yep, that was a threat. That's what I get for posting at 1:00 a.m.
spider/CONFIRM: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Nope.
Moggy makes contact, but his blow only strikes weakly.
@Mogmurch, minimum 1 nonlethal dmg, yes.
Reta fires her bow as well, but the small arrow does very little damage.

Poog doesn't know much about spiders, but he did think that staying away from the mouth of anything with "eatsgoblin" in its name was probably a good idea. Well, at least for him.

Reta wanders a bit in the direction the spider was fleeing. The webs get a bit thicker, and she sees several bodies hanging from the webs.
Either Reta takes 10 on the search, or someone aids her...
Rifling through the corpses, she finds 24 gp, a Small masterwork light crossbow with 11 bolts, a pearl, a red potion, a blue potion, two green potions, and a wax-paper-sealed package that smells like licorice. It smells yummy.
| GM Crucible |
Feel free to distribute and make other preparations.
After a bit more traveling, the goblins see a large wrecked ship lodged in a shallow pool of swamp water. This is where your map was leading. Driven aground decades ago during a particularly violent storm that flung the ship several hundred feet into the flooded swamp, the ship itself is a two-masted Chelish sailing vessel with strange, faded writing on its bow.
The shipwreck itself is upright, held in place by the mud and sludge it now sits in and supported by thick growths of marsh gorse and other foliage. The derelict leans toward its stern at a noticeable but not unwieldy angle, and its railings are as decorated with hanging moss as they are with goblin skulls and bits of bone.
See the map.

Retus unstoppers each of the potions. He sniffs them, sticks his tongue in them, and puts his eye very close to the liquid. In the end he has drooled all over the opening of each potion.

Chuffy is late to the party to take his part of the stash, as he was stalking off muttering something about "kill-stealing Retus". Once he notices that there's loot to be had, he hurries back, elbowing in his way to see what's left. I'll take whatever is left, after the others have taken their pick (if there's anything left by that point).

Once they reach the boat, Chuffy is determined not to let others steal his glory again. "Chuffy bestest scout. RingThatMakesYouClimbRealGood will help me," he says while proudly pointing to his ring. He tries his best to remain stealthy while sneaking through the fence, and climbing the tree to the south of the ship. He then takes a good look around.

Yum! Poog hastily grabs the licorice. He also asks Retus for one of the green potions, hoping to find an opportunity to sneak some into Chuffy's drink later. He also goes to find his squirrel-smiting javelin.
At the boat site, Poog is confused.
"I thought boats was supposed to go in the water."
No specific preparations. Also, whenever goblins and boats come together, it makes me think of this

Poog chews on one of the six pieces of licorice-flavored taffy from the pouch. It sticks to his teeth in a chewy, pleasant way. It also helps his stomach feel better. Cures the sickened condition.
In a few days, Reta will have a nice pearl.

Chuffy sneaks inside the fence, slipping under the poorly made fence. (Escape Artist, take 10)
The interior is incredibly muddy, and it's difficult to move. (Everything inside the fence is difficult terrain: i.e. double movement cost.)
He's able to climb the tree without being seen (or smelled), and moves a bit faster when he sees an evil looking horse come around the corner of the small pond. Once to the top of the tree (35'+ up), Chuffy can see a dog chained to the very top of the left deck, and another chained to the main mast on the lower deck. None of the creatures seem to have noticed him yet.

Reta and Poog can't see the dogs from here. The 3-D difference is weird in a flat map, but the left one is two levels up from where you'd enter, and the right one has the main cabin blocking the view. Both were chained to their respective masts.
The dogs yap furiously as the scent of goblins and shouting voices draw closer.
Reta and Chuffy hurry forward.
Mogmuch fires his crossbow at the horse, but misses in his haste.
Poog begins to climb the ramp, but trips and falls prone. (It does indeed require a climb check, but only DC 10.) The vine-choked gangplank and mossy handrails ascend sharply up to the ship's bow. Near the upper part of the ramp, one handrail seems to be encrusted with a large ball of dried mud.
