Edea's frown silences her son's tongue but not his glare.
"Forgive Edric. His temper follows his father though he is skilled in the arcane arts, he is limited in what he can do. He has in fact already buried one sister due to a pirate attack and he sunk their ship in return. Someone keeps trying to control the weather here but I managed to keep that spellcaster at bay. Edric's help is much appreciated as his own skill at magic helps to preserve mine." Pausing abit as she looks at Maloyxa.

"There could be something or two you could help us with but maybe when you have rested."

"Very well," Malyoxa tells Edea. "Where may we rest for the night?"

"Thank you." Yuki says simply with a pleasant smile as she looks around for a good place to bunk down.

Noro was keeping to herself pretty much, she didn't want to be near bird girl and her attitude at the moment, and Noro's Temper would do nothing to ease any situation.

eventually the offer of rest is given. and Noro breathes a bit of relief. she really didn't want to go hurting people she had no reason to.

Edea motions to her brood and they tke off with Edric giving his best impression of a scowling owl, his gaze unblinking and his glasses lopsided perched on his nose as he withdraws it and places it precariously on his nose.

"The groove is safe and we have plenty of room, my children will show you your place of rest. We have food though they be mostly fruits, nuts and necter."

"Figures there would be nuts, what with you being squirrels and all." Lies says thinking aloud.

"Thank you," Malyoxa says, quite uncomfortable playing the diplomat. She follows the children, lost in thought.

Kiana finds a tall tree just outside the grove that looks difficult to climb, and flies into it's upper reaches. She makes a bed on some limbs and tries to sleep until morning.

Yuki follows the others, doing her best to hide any annoyance or discomfort with her obvious fatigue from the long day.

The morning brings with it fresh water and more fruits and all of your fatigue is lifted off you as the very groove provides a restful night.

Kiana finds herself lulled to sleep as if she was back home.
Malyoxa finds herself almost missing her home but not quite.
Yuki finds herself a delightful brook that seems to sing her a lullaby.
Lies finds herself surrounded by nut bearing trees as if the kids were playing a joke but they couldn't have realised....nah it couldn't be.
Noro finds a calm and quiet spot in the forest where everything seems to hold still.
All and negative conditions removed. 1d8 temp hitpoints

Edea herself is nowhere to be seen though Edric is there poring over a tattered journal. His siblings like his mother are nowhere in sight either.

"I see you're up. I would very much prefer for you to leave this place lest you draw undue attention to us."

The path leading out of the groove still remains.

With a yawn and a big stretch, Yuki wakes up and seems in better spirits than she was in last night. "Wow, I slept great last night! I found this beautiful babbling brook that just seemed to sing gently to me. Soooo much better than a hammock with all that pirate B.O."
She relates with excitement, oblivious to anyone not sharing her enthusiasm.

Although that wet blanket Edric was still there, "Sure, no problem. It was very kind of your family to provide us with a place to sleep. If you ever need anything, look us up, ok kiddo?"

Kiana lands lightly, doing a head count. Looking at the boy, she watches him for a moment or two. "We are boy, we aren't planning on betraying you. You have one last chance to speak your peace, it's obvious you're wanting to say something. I'm not sure what you have to lose. Either we're murderers who plan on killing you, in which case anything you say doesn't matter. Or we're not murderers planning on killing you, in which case anything you say either helps you if you are planning on asking for help, or won't get you killed if it's cursing us out, since we aren't murderers."

Noro wakes feeling better, a good rest that wasn't preceeded by a several punces to the face...she could get used to that.

not to be wierd...well too late... but its Grove I don't think Noro has any goove. (I have heard though about the Emperor's new groove)

Letsh roll. she says grabbing her stuff and strts to head toward the road. totally oblivious to the kid.

Recalling what Edea said last night, Malyoxa turns back. "Wait. Where is your mother? She said there were a couple things that we could help with and we intend to pay her back for letting us stay here."

The drow restrains herself from using harsher words, though she really didn't care for Edric's attitude.

"Ah nuts." Lies remarks as she wakes up surrounded by nuts.

"I'm not entirely fond of spending more time around these squirrels then we have to." Lies mutters.

"There... he swallows hard as if tasting something bitter.

"There's a book of magic in a cave which belongs to a tribe of green kobolds. They have also looted a few treasures from other ships unfortunate to have fallen to the underwater guardians. The treasure in it is yours to do as you see fit but the book must be in my hands." He holds out a map though not very well drawn that shows you where to head too in shaky hands.

"The last time i noticed, the kobolds numbers about a dozen."

"All right! That's the spirit kiddo. We'll take care of it, no problem." Yuki accepts the mission with a nod, still eager to get going.

"Yes, we will," Malyoxa says.

Kiana tilts her head. She studies the map. "If we can get the book from the kobolds, I see no reason why we can't give it to you. I'm not going to execute them just to help you though. That's a human thing to do. If they need to be removed from life through their actions, then I have no issues doing so. But I won't slaughter those who are not like me for the crime of not being like me."

"The book is all I need, how you deal with the kobolds is up to you. Afterall like my mother said, 'even kobolds have their own place in life'." He points out the location to all of you. It's roughly 3 days travel north and west through dense jungle.
