Caimor Bleddyn |

Here's my character!
Stat block and things on the profile. I didn't put up a backstory since I'm keeping it vague, but it's mostly the classic scholar-wants-to-actually-put-his-knowledge-to-use and find-out-the-truth-for-himself type.
Also, I'm still unclear as to whether the bonus feats every level means in addition to the ones we get every odd level (meaning 1 feat every even level and 2 feats every odd level).

In addition to the regular feats.

Rolling stats for a nanite bloodline sorcerer
1:: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 4, 3) = 12
2:: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 1, 1) = 9
3:: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 4, 2) = 16
4:: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 2, 6) = 17
5:: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 6, 4) = 18
6:: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 6, 6) = 21
7:: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 3, 4) = 16
I make that as: 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 11.
Starting Gold: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 6) = 11 x 10 = 110gp
The dice rolling engine is on fire.

Tazwell Bladenkurst |

Here's my stab at a character using the above stats.
He's a Nanite Bloodline Sorcerer (Seeker and Eldritch Scrapper archetypes)
He'll probably end up being a gish after he develops further. Right now the character plays up the nanite shtick using the Martial Flexibility, Fast Learner, and Improvisation to constantly do things today that he couldn't do yesterday (and might not be able to do tomorrow).
This is an outline of his background. Given time and opportunity I'll flesh it out into more of a story.
Background Outline:
Tazwell comes from a familiy of fletchers who live and work near the town of Torch
They sell bows and arrows to locals and to arms merchants that supply various barbarian tribes (Bladenkurst bows are famed for leagues around)
Tazwell craved excitement and wanted to grow up to be a bow-wielding forester or hunter, but fate took another course.
He was infected with the nanites at age 13 when he came in contact with an ancient star metal device that had been unearthed in a local field.
He was sick for a long time (8 or 9 months) while the nanites re-worked the pathways of his mind and awakening dormant powers.
After he recovered things initially went back to normal with him working in the famility business. He had developed a bright white shock of hair during the illness.
His family began to notice the changes shortly thereafter. His magical powers started to become apparent (e.g. mage hand moving items without him realizing it)
Even more unsettling were the skills and knowledge that he had somehow acquired without any study of training. (fast learner / improvisation feats)
His parent’s told him he was going to have to go and his younger brother was going to inherit the family business (that punk)
He was no longer welcome at home, but his parents arranged an apprentice with a local wizard and scholar named Khonnir Baine
Baine provided Taz with room, board, and training in exchange for the opportunity to study the mysterious changes the nanites had made to him during the sickness.
Taz spent the next year learning the strange ways that magic and technology intersect in the weird devices found throughout Numeria. (learning disable device, engineering, arcana, spellcraft, and use magic device)
Mostly he just wanted to practice shooting rabbits with his bow. (like all good apprentices)
Recently the mysterious Light of Torch has gone out, creating a stir within the town.
Baine has apparently disappeared as well on one of his mysterious errands (apprentices are never told the details of such “errands”)
Taz’s meal ticket is on the line and something needs to be done or he’ll have to get a real job ….
Question for GM: Do just wizards have to spend skill points to learn different schools of magic or do other casters have to as well? I spent a couple of skill points to learn the schools of the spells I know, just to be sure.

Just altered Sarona's Local Ties trait so she gets +3 to Knowledge (Engineering) instead of Disable Device.
Arcane (Wizards, Sorcerers, etc.)

For simplicity's sake, I'm sticking with only one archetype for Sarona. I'm planning to spec her out as a support/crafting character.
EDIT: And it looks like we have one of each PC role ready to go!
Still waiting to see if there are any other characters on the horizon...

ok i hope im doing this right for my halfling fist
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 4, 3) = 15 12
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 6, 3) = 18 15
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 5, 1) = 11 10 dropping this one
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 6, 4) = 17 15
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 1, 4) = 12 11
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 6, 2) = 18 16
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3, 4) = 17 14
so adjusted for racial modifiers as a halfling here is his character sheet. i hope mythweavers is ok.

Dragoncat |

With regards to 4d6 and dropping the lowest, after you make your rolls, find the lowest dice value in each set of 4d6es and subtract it from the total. That'll give you your final score for that set.
Now you need to find the lowest of the seven rolls of 4d6 you've rolled and ignore that in your final stat spread.
Let's see your stats for this:
12, 15, 10, 14, 11, 16, 14.
That means, by the character generation rules, your stat spread is 12, 15, 14, 11, 16, 14.
A 30-point buy. Go ahead and arrange them however you want! :)
