Kai tries to climb out of the cart, but his hands are shaking too much. He takes his rest in the cart, staring at Reynald's dead body and trying to make sense of the carnage. Eventually he calms down enough to climb out. "I think I might need a drink."

Jed looks Reynald over and he is definitely dead dead. A laser blast seems to have scorched a hole clean through his neck.

You call Philt to arrange your rendezvous outside of town, and like clockwork, you see him appear at the location with his two bodyguards and their vehicle.
One of the vesk moves forward and checks over the body, then nods back to Philt.
"What happened to him?"

"There is no bounty issued little Ysoki. Our business is satisfactorily concluded; we have the body, and you have the object you sought. Accidents do happen. Good thing you all survived."
The vesk starts crossloading the body over.
"Our business is concluded then? Anything further?"

Buster steps backs and whispers to the group "He's right, I don't think he ever did promise us anything. Why are we helping them again?"
Buster turns back to Philt. "Nothing, huh? Typical. I guess I'll need to get something in writing from you next time. Well, how about a thank you at least? Could we get one of those?"

Conrad slips into his own element, this is a bar after all. "There's business for the future. Keep us in mind. If you fill in the obvious vacuum that we just created here, remember who runs Castamir station.... I can bring that business acumen to this place." Conrad says as he waves his arm at the bar behind him.

Philt further explains "The drive and loyalty the townsfolk demonstrate—however misguided— inspires me. AbadarCorp has long considered the construction of a shipping hub outside of Maro. Such a facility would keep cargo destined for transport throughout the Pact Worlds away from Maro’s local gangs and criminal organizations. I believe that Tasch could serve to staff this shipping hub and provide infrastructure for guards, pilots, and corporate employees. Such construction would also mean gainful employment for all the townspeople."

With the mission a success, Arvin offers to pay for a round of drinks at a bar popular with many field agents. As you depart, Arvin tends to the charlatan’s stone, securing it in the Lorespire Complex. Before he departs, he informs you to get some rest after your night of enjoyment; he is confident he will have another assignment for you soon.
The end! I will create chronicles come morning and have them to you by tomorrow afternoon my time as it is now quite late here.
