My only hiccup is that as a +2 Bonus it's fighting for a spot with Holy and Axiomatic and...well...Holy and Axiomatic. Or, uh, Bane of the Evil-Outsider variety for maximum anti-demon lulz >_>;;

On the note of path abilities and such, Gwyn's actually...sort of locked in for at least 7 of them;; Could even be as high as 9(!) if I really, really want to stick with the "Mortal Legion Archon" theme I'm sort of going for, but I'm taking suggestions on all accounts!

Funny thing though. I'm actually sort of stuck on whether to bother Dual-Pathing Champion...Fleet Charge so gud...but Swift Actions...I'm going to be so starved for swift actions so...mayyybe not? ;_;

I had a lot of time to debate ze paladin's build this weekend, to say the least.

I might also take a couple Divine Source abilities. Partly because we don't have a huge amount of higher level casting, and then also because having Good [Redemption] would be really thematic.

I still have no idea what to do with most of my normal feats and mythic feats, though.

Divine Source is obviously pretty awesome but the whole locked into wholesale domains with the first tier is...ghnn. I mean I know Gwyn is--Good/Law alignment demands, folks!--but, if I'm reading it right, subdomains don't kick in until 2nd taking, no? I'm still not sure if, because she'll later channel Iomedae's Heroism subdomain, that means she ought to be tossing Glory out as well...? I dunno. Food for thought. Redemption is definitely an awesome choice though, given the campaign, but in my case I hazard it might be a touch cheeky for a Paladin to be able to cast Atonement as an SLA :P

I have a habit of planning pretty far in advance, tossing mechanical + thematic elements together and such; a few years of mid-session leveling sort of belted it into me. Trying to get around the lack of pure arcane casting with some shenanigans myself, but we'll see how that goes. Might not even survive to 2nd level yet.

Yeah the domain must be alignment thing is pretty nasty, especially since paladins cannot possibly swap out. I recently, as I do with nearly every character I make, realized the alignment (CG) I chose probably isn't the best fit for how I'm actually playing the character (feels more NG in my head). Especially not if I'd be embodying it and becoming a source of that power.

So that's a little more freeing. Wanted to go with Community, which I think is fitting. I'd probably go to Divine Source II and stop, but I dunno which 3rd domain fits best. I suppose I might know that later, when/if we get to that point, haha.

Does Divine source actually grant the powers, or just the spells?

On topic: Spells only, each one as a 1/day SLA. Your domain-classed followers get the whole shebang, though are only granted as many spell levels as you have tiers.

Yeah, I have a similar problem on alignment; heck, Gwyn's hardly the most lawful paladin you'll ever meet, but then she's a Paladin who's identified as a clerical acolyte for most of her years, if one with a stronger arm and quicker temper. Something tells me she'll get hit with a big chunk of Lawful if/when she gets to see what's become of Kenabres, but that's what character development's for! I'm fine with being locked into Good/Law, if only to adhere to Golarion's "Deities must have appropriate alignment domains" quip, but I wish they'd thrown you a free subdomain, if only to give you some element of choice :/

Community's a cool choice! Some pretty interesting spells in there for sure! I'd have only gone Divine Source II if JJ hadn't recently made the insinuation that Iomedae went the whole way with it...because hell yeah Gwyn's gonna jump that bandwagon! Then again, I could always go Beyond Morality...(and then do something REALLY crazy; like grabbing the Demon subdomain to go with her "Good Guy, Arguably Bad Influence" aspect) but I'm pretty sure Iomedae, Queen Galfrey, Anevia's wife, and Abrielle would all knock Gwyn's teeth out, so I'm thinkin' noooo.

If I went just on personal preference of what I think might work later on, I'm looking at Magic, Protection, Liberation* and Glory as potential domains; Archon, Divine, Purity, Freedom, Heroism on the subdomain side. I dunno. Anything could happen between now and then, so I'm certainly not giving it a whacking whole lot of thought beyond "That might make sense I guess". When it comes down to it, I'm probably just gonna pin you guys for a suggestion based on what you all think a Cleric of Gwyneth would reasonably domain; because I'm obviously bias as heck :P

*Because there isn't a single LG god with Liberation and that's always bugged me. I mean it makes sense, I suppose, but since we're liberating Sarkoris from the Abyss...totes counts, right?

Regarding all the long-term build discussion stuff: not that I don't care about it, I just... don't think that way. I've looked over mythic ability path stuff for the Champion for like... three minutes, lol. Mostly I'm one of those lazy 'sit back and randomly pick stuff that sounds good at level-up' type of gamers.

...my first PFS character, now retired, was built that way, and wound up with a base CMD of 47. Blind dumb luck on my part. ;)

We already got Boxing Day which is basically the day we all go out and buy ourselves the s@!+ no one bought us for Christmas that we actually wanted on a great sale.

Heads up! Info about Neathholm is up in the Campaign Info tab. Depending upon how much time you all want to spend here, you can sell things and pick up basic items. If you want to buy anything worth more than 50g, do the usual percentile roll and let me know if you're shooting for high or low. The chance of it being there is 75%, so hopefully you won't be failing too often.

Keep the scrolls. Naali can learn spells/formulae off those, too.

Might be that I forgot to mention, but both of the dead Templars also had glaives. So, if you didn't take those, disregard. If you did take them, feel free to add them to the loot list.

I think you did mention, but I disregarded them because they were just plain too heavy to be worth it for me at least. Unless they were masterwork also.

Unfortunately the formulae list for alchemists is very tiny and almost entirely self buffs, so of the things we have here's what I can learn. 10g for 1st tier, 40g for 2nd tier. Spellbook:
1 - Detect secret doors, 2 - Blur, 2 - Invisibility, 2 - Resist Energy, 2 - Levitate

I can't learn shocking grasp or cause fear from those scrolls, they aren't on my list. Resist energy scroll is, but I can learn that from the spellbook. I just gotta carry it around until we get to level 4.

It's been a while since I've played with an Alchemist (whether in the party or one myself), but yeah, that is something I did remember about their list: such selfish casters! :P Can't complain about free formulae (relatively speaking) so that's all yours. Shocking Grasp and Cause Fear are probably better sold off in that case, I guess.

Clearly our Bard's Inspire Competence worked, as I got a call this morning and apparently I have a job waiting for me in the new year! A job which is a whole 15 minute walk from my home, pays some ~4k more than that hellhole I was last in, and lets me put my fancy computing degree to work. Literally me. All day. And probably the next two weeks.

"How to pay rentz" panic over, now I can actually enjoy the holidays. Hope everyone's going strong and the weight of academia hasn't quite crushed the life out of you all yet!

Congratulations Gwyn, that was super fast!

Finally survived to the vacation. It's been hell.
Was very close to failing both of my classes (might still fail one...) this term because I've been getting increasingly sick since the start of the school year, and then got a normal flu stacked on top of that just in time for finals week. Doctor doesn't really know what's up, I have to go for more tests.
And even though I have only ever failed two classes in 4 years (and one was a non-required humanities elective), that put me very close to not graduating on time.
And then on top of that, my laptop is falling apart and needs to be sent in for warranty repairs, my desktop needs a replacement part, and I need to replace my phone because it only lasts like 4 hours on battery without even actively using it. So I'm also super behind on my senior project because I've been sick all term and my team is not being productive enough.

I'm just really really glad I can just take things easy for a while, and that includes posting more on here, cause it's fun. So thumbs up to all of you for being fun people.

Yeah, got super lucky. I applied within 12 hours of it being posted and was the only one to full-mark their aptitude test sooo...yeah. Last time I was unemployed, it took half a year. There was a lot of celebration in my house yesterday.

As for your term: YIKES! Yeah, so happy you survived to the holiday because gods its sounds like you need it! :( Wrap yourself in duvets and get all that illness/stress to wind off while it can, yeah?
