Vala easily unlocks the door in no time...
Parts of this chamber look like they were recently excavated. To the east, a curving cylinder of green crystal—part of the Emerald Spire—fills a quarter of the room.

Within the room you find a fey creature with a pick axe, going about its business... chipping into the spire.

Vala looks lost in thought for most of Ansel's conversation with the creature - that is, until he mentions that he thinks what its harvesting might power the automatons, or maybe the turnstyles. Her head perks up and she considers. "Perhaps. Let's keep searching."

If the creature allows Vala attempts to get close enough to the spire to determine if this level, too, has an inscription. If so she'll jot it down on her rough map before turning away "Don't trust that thing...", and checking the fountain thing a bit more carefully (and the surrounding room).
