You've got a surprise round action as well Qatala.

Kramac, we might want to consider escape route for this battle. Depending on how the ghast moves it could help one or both of us get into position to attack.

We could also try swap places.

Let's go with escape route. If Qatala can free up her square, one of us can move there, then mvumbu, muumu, you and me can all getting in there without apps.

Ought to work. Do we need to move the ghast though? Depends on whether those are hard corners. We may have to try overrun, bull rush, reposition, or acrobatics. (Well, I think maybe Kiboko can go over the top safely if you or one of our pets occupies the square that Qatala is currently in.)

This might be overly analyzing the combat but how about you cast spider climb on me, and I'll hang from the ceiling and attack, then Deyno can get in the front spot, and you can stand behind with your lance and attack? Switching to escape route at this point just seems like it wastes a lot of actions.

I couldn't reach you last round. Had to use the spider climb on myself. You only get a free touch in the round that you cast a "range: touch" spell, after that it takes a standard action. It's a scroll too, so only one shot.

Escape route would still help me get over the top.

I propose that we both use a standard action on Escape Route. You 5' step towards the ghoul. I drop my lance, which Deyno can pick up. I go over the top of the ghoul, ending my move immediately above him. Flyn then shoots the ghoul, with only you in between so he won't take cover penalties. Deyno comes up, taking the hooked lance so he threatens from behind you.

Then next round we go to town, with everyone except Paicho and the pets able to attack.

Paicho, if you move to the square I was occupying at the end of the "lightning bolt formation" then everyone can see your flag.

Not an ideal set up here. Single opponent in a narrow space. I am definitely taking Spider Climb as a spell known when I take my next hunter level!

Indeed it is not ideal, but the CR of the combat is based on the fact that you are boxed in! If the single ghast was open to attacks from all directions, it probably wouldn't last very long.

Escape route is indeed a sweet feat. When I get to level 7, kramac will be riding his animal companion with escape route, so no aoos for him ever.

Hey all, I need to apologize upfront. I have my weekly Thursday night AP GM session coming up. While it usually does not interfere with my PBP games, due to a recent food poisoning, and work-training this week, I've found myself backlogged in prepping for it.

As a result, I will have limited to no updates on my games from here on until Friday morning (Malaysia). I expect things to be back to normal immediately on Friday as it is a public holiday here.

I'll be sure to fill in the gap with three days of RPing Kramac singing songs he learned from Paicho.

As we come to a near close, would just like to thank everyone for the experience and your commitment! As the year draws to an end, I'm planning to wind down my games and pick up right after Shifty's PBP special. After the special I may consider running something akin to a module, but have yet to decide. I know I'll be seeing you guys around the forum surely!

I'd also be willing to run another one some time in the near future as well if y'all like...I recently got the humble bundle with all the season 4 scenarios, so if there's one of those y'all haven't played I could do that after supervillan's venture...

I am also interested. My only worry is that I want to have Kramac play in the upcoming multiplied table special in January. If we can finish up by then, I am game. I'm actually signed up to play in the same table as Batpony. Maybe some of you could sign up for that table when general reg opens.

When does the Runecarved Key special start? I haven't decided if I'm going to play in it yet.

I'm at a Convention January 15-21, so we could probably fit in a game before then given the pace we normally run at.

I have access to all of Seasons 4, 5 and 6 and a few more scenarios besides. but I'll take requests and pick up whatever folks would like to play. My one preference would be that it's something I haven't GM'd before (unless an evergreen).

That's mighty kind of you to take up PBP GMing Kiboko. As much as I would love to say yes, I'm at my limits and am trying to slowly reduce my load to a manageable level. Additionally, a certain character of mine in another table is promising himself into the Blakros arches.

Once I find myself more free time, (likely at start of January) I'd hope I get to join you guys!

Looks like a least four takers for Blakros Matrimony and Zach is welcome too; shall we see if we can squeeze it in before 5 Jan? It's a roleplay-heavy scenario (you're going to a wedding!) so it's possible I think. I could be ready to go by this Friday, maybe Thursday.

If folks would prefer to keep certain characters free for the special, what tier would any alternative characters be at?

It made for an interesting tale. Some of the combat CRs are a bit off, but then we're a martial-heavy party. Lots of martials + inspire courage = dead baddies. That last ghast was awkward though!

Really enjoyed it.
