The Judge calls out to the voice: Inside? Right now I see nothing but a closed gate and a passage that appears more like a trap. Open the gate and one of us shall come down. If he is safe, then the rest shall follow.

There's a faint rumbling sound in the stone around you and under your feet. After a few moments, it grows to a roar. The earth shakes.
In the corridor behind you, by the door out of Irin's apartment, the wall bulges. Something huge protrudes outwards into the corridor, almost completely blocking it. It looks almost like a gigantic, malformed head made out of stone. A moment later another huge protrusion appears, this one resembling an immense stone arm (or some sort of limb, anyway). You have the impression of something so gargantuan that it can only get part of its head and one arm (or something) into the 10' wide corridor.
The head opens a single huge red eye and glares at you.
"Judge, this is Gruuk. Gruuk is a Massive Elder earth elemental. He made the tunnels, at my instruction."
"Speaking of the Cardinal's little pet, did she leave you with the impression that all of us were supposed to be patient with you? Let me disabuse you of that notion, my young friends.
"The last door said 'optional'. This door does not. I'm a busy man. And 'annoying Sherkov' is an offense with only one penalty. So, anyone who is not inside in ten seconds, Gruuk mashes into slime."
The Judge looks at the rather ticked off earth elemental and then decides that this is a good time to desert his companions and begins to rapidly move toward the door. Morsum follows behind like that Judge's shadow.

Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mr. Sherkov. It does seem that we will be acting with haste to please you. I assure you, however, we can be polite and quick at the same time.
Jax moves into the room and will move close to the porticullis as soon as he enters, looking at it for any signs of how to open it. He'll also look around the room and try to recall if it is likely to be trapped (prior experience/knowledge dungeoneering has to be useful here, yeah?)

Since Cуровую was last seen crumpled and disheveled on the floor, let's just say a few of you gentlemen helped her up and assisted composing her as we went to the next room.
Boys. What would your moms say leaving a girl on the floor like that.

A moment after all of you are inside, the door slams shut behind you. There's a grating, grinding noise on the other side of it. The door bulges slightly and some dust puffs out of the cracks between it and the door frame.
"Years of service have done nothing for Gruuk's temper,I fear. But he's simply too useful to release. With his assistance, I can build walls, shatter fortifications... or dig as many miles of tunnels as I care to."
"But as I said, I'm a busy man. So, let's proceed."
A glowing ball of light appears just on the other side of the portcullis. It gives about as much light as a lantern, allowing you to see 30' further down the corridor. After the first few feet beyond the portcullis, the corridor curves downwards.
"That is your pacelight. It will remain just ahead of your most forward member."
The pacelight bobs up and down a little, like a buoy in water.
"Do you know all those tales the bards tell, where the wicked villain tells the heroes his evil plan just before he kills them? That can happen! It's a terrible temptation. I've been guilty of it myself, more than once."
"But one learns from experience. And, really, it's hardly necessary in this case."
The portcullis abruptly rises: clak-a-clak-a-clak, clang. Beyond it, the corridor goes forward a few feet, then slopes downward at an angle of perhaps fifteen or twenty degrees. The pacelight bobs gently in the air, a bit above the top of your head.
Tohram looks down at the goblin: Take care. Keep your eyes open for whatever this voice has in store for us. We should give you a rope so that if there are any traps, we can pull you out.
Suddenly, at the other end of the corridor -- opposite from the portcullis -- what had seemed like a featureless wall simply disappears, melting away like mist. Beyond it, you can see that the corridor continues. However, it slopes steeply upwards. (Steeper than the corridor going the other way -- thirty degrees or more.)
A faint rumbling noise comes from somewhere up this corridor. It grows louder. And louder.
Okay, a new round is starting... now. To your left, where the portcullis was, the pacelight bobs in the air; beyond it, the corridor slopes gently downwards into darkness. To your right, where the wall just disappeared, the corridor slopes steeply upwards; you can't see more than a few feet up there. A massive rumbling noise is coming from somewhere up in there, growing rapidly louder.

What is the size of the opening vs. the size of the room? Are they roughly the same size or could you step to one side of the opening and let whatever is comgin through pass?
This is where the picture or map would be helpful :)

Edit: Change of plans.
Jax moves, draws his scroll of mount, casts it, and rides the magical horse to victory.
Jax starts to run forward then pauses, a large smile crossing his face. He shrugs at Grumblejack. Run. Nevermind me. He reaches to his side and draws a scroll, mumbling a few words. His tail lashes happily as the form of a light horse fills the passageway, making Jax nearly as tall as Grumbles.
Edmin turns with the others and begins to run down the sloping passage looking for a place out of the main hall. "Unless you can smash a big ass boulder, run!"
Unless you all prefer being crushed by a large boulder . . . RUN!!!!
He then turns and with Morsum a few feet ahead of him takes off down the down sloping passage.
Options:
Single move -- you move 30'. You can still take a standard action.
Double move -- you move 60'. You can still take swift and free actions.
Run -- you move 120'. However, this is a flat-out sprint. You can't take any other actions except maybe gasping out a few words.
