"Good thing they were a rare breed of deaf bat or else all your carrying on would have sent the whole swarm after us," Moira says smiling. The amount of noise Sa'sori made should have woken up the whole hoard. How did someone that wore so little make so much racket.

Either way, she watches Sa'sori go, thinking this might be the better option. The villagers hadn't gotten this far so the traps were likely lethal now.

Sa'sori gains her feet on the other side and smiles at Moira's comment sticking her tongue out at her, "...I'know! Which is why I wanted to try something else... stealthy sneaking about is not my forte'!"

Then she gets her usual lascivious twinkle in her startlingly bright violet-colored eyes, "...but speaking of 'fun'... I think a roll in the hayloft with farmer Gibbon's new deliciously-shy, cute, young stablehand 'Willam'..would be what I call fun! All those muscles, red-hair and freckles... {yum!}"

You guys pass through the trap without incident and find yourself in front of the ornate doors. The wide brass doors swing open on silent hinges to reveal a vast crypt. The only light emanates from a torch mounted above the crypt, flickering with a pale golden fire. Tall pillars march across the chamber, ending at a dais on the far side, on which is set a large sarcophagus.
A single form rests behind the coffin, that of a comely woman in tattered clothing. She appears to be asleep or unconscious.

Map without tokens (I'll fix it later today.)

As your eyes scan the room, a dry mirthless laugh can be heard from the dark recesses of the tomb. "So, Kassen's heroes have come to fight me again. You will make fine minions in my army of the dead. Come and meet your fate." With that, a wicked-looking skeleton strides into view wearing polished mail and brandishing a cruel sword in both hands. A cold blue flame burns in its empty eye sockets. At his call four other skeletons rise in the chamber and begin to approach you.

Sa'sori casts a shield spell upon herself, then draws her blade. The skeletons move from their crypts and slink behind the pillar. Asar draws a longsword staring at the top of the stairs at the party watching for their first moves.

Vera moves to the botton of the stairs and channel's her possitive energy in an outward burst.

Two of the skeletons and Asar shunt back from the burst of energy. The others have the wave pass harmlessly over them. Moria moves to the top of the stairs readying her bow. Dyrm moves down the stairs, but is unable to get in range with his spell. Cotton targets Asar with her spell disrupting the undead's necromantic energy.

Sa'sori moves forward sword in hand... but she does not moved to attack just yet. She moves straight forward down the stairs past Vera to the second square in front of Vera then takes the diagonal to the east of her forward movement and another square forward placing her back to the pillar so the skelton cannot flank her. That's a 30'ft move.

Once in position she hefts her elven curve blade upon her right shoulder; with her left hand she casts a magic missile at Asar. The arcane tattoos glowing fetchingly on her exposed legs, arms, face and chest as she unleshes the arcane fires within her soul.

"DIE! foul-dwemored liche... leave the living in peace!"

And two darts of magical power strike the undead lord with resounding hits...!

I'll dress you properly once I've raised you."

The Sad part of this is.. Sa'sori has one of the best AC's {17} in the entire party! But with this STR drain.. I'm not sure Sa'sori can hit Asar.. but even STILL she has one of the best bonuses to hit in melee {+4.. currently +3}.. {shakes head}.. which is even sadder. We we're boned the moment we lost our fighter.

Sa'sori will not yield, but hefts her Elven Curve Blade.. a fire of defiance in her pretty eyes, "You may slay me... but living or dark undead... I will smite you for your trouble... !"

"No you don't," Moira says as she draws tension on her longbow. A blunted arrow rests on the string ready to pulverize skeleton bone. She aimed for one of the skeletons Vera passed to keep its attention away from the cleric.

Sa'sori feels the healing power of Vera's channel flow over her causing the near-mortal wound in her side to close partially but perhaps enough. Sa'sori is all out of powerful magics for the day... only her cantrips remain.

Clearly she should withdraw... or at least see to her own healing ...using the magic water from the pool in her waterskin...

But Vera is not going to last another assault by Asar... as the half-orc cleric is obviously barely holding her feet.

{... I don't want to die! What has this town done for me that I should surrender my life for them?!? I've been ostracized, vilified, molested.. and called whore for my trouble... I owe them Nothing...!!!}

Sa'sori glances toward the exit... back up the steps... It would be so easy... just to flee... the just leave and Never look back... her life would be her own.. be damned what happens to Kassan...!

... But. What of Cotton and Moira? What of Vera... Vera has felt the same scorn all her life as well~ What of her own Honor? If she ran now...would she ever stop running? Would she ever look at the woman in the mirror and not feel True shame? Could she live like that? Would that even be living~... or just another cage one not so easily escaped from... a cage of shame and fear...

Sa'sori cried... tears from her pretty violet eyes... {I'm such a fool... I'm going to die here... and no one will care... I can flee and get away... but I'd never forgive myself. Maybe.. I've been too long in a cage... and now ..I can't tell the difference? CALISTRA.. you-b+!@%, now you'll have my soul as well.. haven't I paid enough haven't I suffered... enough... yet?!?

Sa'sori hefts her elven curve blade in both bloody hands.. her blood from her desperate attempts to stanch the deep wound she took from Asar's battle sword, turning to face the Undead Lord...

{I guess freedom is an illusion... its not real. Its a fantasy we tell ourselves to make the darkness not so terrifying. We all live in cages... cages of our own making...}

Sa'sori screams a cry of rage and fear.. her tear and blood-stained face in a rictus of righteous fury... as she charges toward Asar her elven curve blade whipping around in a powerful overhand swing...

{We all come into this world with nothing.. and nothing owed us... I guess.. in the end.. all anyone really 'owns'.. is how they choose to die... This is Mine~...!}

"ARRRrrrrrghhh~! DIE! You WILL NOT Take MY FRIENDS!"

The Half-elven woman-child's charge is full of fury.. but her wounds are too severe and she stumbles in the attempt her blade cutting only air... but her expression is one of ...peace... she knew this was the end... a 'good death'~


Round 4 Recap
Vera channels positive energy to heal everyone. Moria steps midway down the stairs and looses another arrow, but misses. Dyrm attacks at his skeleton again, but can't seem to dispatch his foe. Cotton looses her attack disrupting Asar who stumbles at the attack. With a yell, Sa'sori charges at Asar who still manages to defend himself.

The skeleton attacks at Dyrm again, but can't breach his defense.

Asar smiles, "I'll take whatever I like child." With that, he steps away from the orc and half elf who both swing at him as he turns his back. In unison the two run their blades through the Skeleton toppling him over.

Asar had 0 HP and was disabled, I thought since you guys were having such low rolls his magical armor could protect him, but this work well for the story later mwahaha.

Sa'sori... is stunned...

"..I..I'm~ we're... alive? W-we won?!?"

She slumps to her knees bloody gripped curve blade hanging limply in her hands...

Her head bowed... she trembles... and slowly gathers her dignity to wipe the blood and tears from her eyes & face...

With a deep sigh she casts detect magic... to determine what Asar bore that was magical.

In either case she picks up his battlesword and sheathing it straps it about her shapely waist {wincing slightly from the only partially healed wound in her side}... as she stands somewhat leaning on her curve blade. She looks exhausted... but still beautiful in her sweat and blood stained silken ceremonial robes with her hair falling disheveled in golden-red cascades in the flickering torch light...


your disrupt undead is in the recap. You're the one who dropped him to 0 hp and made him disabled.

I think your disrupt undead is what dropped Asar to disabled. He wasn't disabled last turn and you're the only one who managed to hit him so that has to be it. I guess the DM just forgot to mention it.
Phew, tough son of a gun. I'll see to the girl and then I'll see if I can't do something about your wounds Sa'sori." Vera is going to move to the girl by the alter and see if she is in need of healing.
