Tabitha Flynn |
Maybe..... 5? That sounds like a good number to start with. Though she is just tasting them.
Glancing back to the others, Tabitha thinks that she figured out what the purpose of this room is for. "Ah! This room must have been a break room for them." Turning back to the large machine, she waves her hand over the glowing panels. "Oh! Hot! This is definitely a Advanced stove. Wow... Um, should probably turn it off."
Is there any way to shut down the stove?
GM_Ironcat |
Tabitha: The stove has a variety of dials on it. You can try tweaking them... :)
Low is BAD: 1d100 ⇒ 65
Low is BAD: 1d100 ⇒ 79
Low is BAD: 1d100 ⇒ 77

The goo in the five tubes Tabitha tries tastes quite... bland. It has the consistency of molasses mixed with paint, but otherwise Tabitha is able to stomach the taste of the tubes with no ill effects.
Kadosh |
OK, I'm back and don't expect any more interruptions to my posting until mid-October.
Kadosh shakes his head as Tabitha tastes the rations.
"Feh! That stuff surely must have spoiled by now. You'll do much better with fresh food!"
He looks around, moving to the door to the south, opening it when the others are ready.
Perception (+2 if spirit animal is within reach): 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 2 = 13
GM_Ironcat |
The door Kadosh checks opens up into another grey-walled corridor, with another door directly across from the break room. A set of double doors leads back to the circular room, and three pairs of double doors are at a t-intersection to the east. One pair sits on the north end of the intersection, another sits in the middle, and the last one is in the south end.
Kadosh |
Kadosh heads to the door directly opposite the break room to the south, opposite the door he opened.

Just trying to keep things moving now that I'm back; holler if I start going too fast, anyone.
Triax Null |
"Drinking troughs for very small animals?" the android guesses, but it is more distracted by the smear of blood across the floor. "That bodes ill. Perhaps we should follow the trail."
Tabitha Flynn |
Looking into the room with the strange stalls, she shakes her head. "I don't think so..."
She takes a bit longer view of this room, and tries to figure out what this one is.
Knowledge Engineering: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Possibly realizing what this room's purpose is for, her face reddens slightly. "N-no. That is definitely not what this room's purpose is for." She would then give a brief summary of what the purpose truly is. And she finishes with a simple sentence. "So don't drink the water."
I got a feeling she realized what the room is truly for.
Kadosh |
"The cat and blood seem to say something bad is in there. Shall we try to deal with it?" Kadosh asks his companions.
If they agree, he pulls his morningstar and then casts bless when they're ready to go through the door. Ideally the same round the door is opened.
Tabitha Flynn |
Tabitha readies her dagger, looking towards the doors and the room beyond. She takes a breath. "Tabi-er... I'm ready."
GM_Ironcat |
The doors open with a *whoosh*.
Metal desks sit to the north and south of this long room, yet the most distinctive features are a pair of odd, bedlike tables flanked by curving panels of blinking, pulsing lights. Moving armatures of metal extend out over the beds, each outfitted with glowing panes of glass and strangely glowing tools. The chamber reeks of blood, with great crimson stains splashed across the device, beds and floor.
A strange, white, spider-like automaton turns its head as the party opens the doors. Its head has one bright, unblinking blue eye, and it lifts a humanlike and in the party's direction. The creature's fingers are tipped with four needlelike spikes, its knuckles filled with a blue fluid that flows from a pair of containers mounted to its back.
"Παρακαλείσθε να αναφέρετε τη φύση της ιατρικής έκτακτης ανάγκης σας." It says in a monotonous, mechanical voice.

Well, that didn't take long.
Kadosh |
Of course, it just wanted to help us, but whatever. :)
"What did it say, Tabitha?" Kadosh asks, assuming it was some robotic curse, as he looks around, still trying to find the source of the blood.

Tabitha blinks a few times before responding to Kadosh. "It..." She lets out the breath she was holding. "It said, 'Please state the nature of your medical emergency'." She steps forward to the dismembered machine. "Um, I think it was a healer of some sort." She tries to understand what exactly this thing is.

She then turns to look around the room. "And I guess this is a place for healing at one time."

The room you're standing in does appear to be some sort of advanced healing facility. Unfortunately, most of the equipment here seems to be malfunctioning.
Triax Null |
Triax surveys the blood. "Most healers I have known are more dedicated to cleaning up after themselves. I am curious as to what manner of creature bled so much while crawling here."
Kadosh |
"Well, something is still alive down here that's not just a plant. I guess we should keep trying to find it. Jasper, are there any other tracks or anything besides the blood smear?"
If there's no other indication of where we should go, let's go look at the door by the blood smear to the top of the map.
GM_Ironcat |
Jasper starts looking around some more.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
He pauses as he walks back out into the hallway. "Wait a minute..."
He starts walking towards the southern pair of double doors. "...it sounds like something's banging on metal through here."
His eyes widen. "And it sounds like someone's in there!"
Tabitha Flynn |
"Right." As Tabitha replies, holding up her dagger and points it to the door.
GM_Ironcat |
The doors open with another *whoosh*.
A row of beds sits along the southern wall of this well-lit room. Glowing screens and metal desks sit on the opposite walls, and splatters of blood adorn the floor and several of the beds. To the east, a large metal device that is the size of a large bed hums softly, despite the frantic pounding coming from inside it.
A silvery robot creature identical to the one the party previously slew is standing before the bed-sized device. Its head turns to the doorway as the party opens the door. A golden, flying robot is hovering over one of the beds as well. Its arms and hands end in spindly, multi-jointed fingers, and four circular rotors hold the creature aloft.
"Παρακαλώ καθίστε. Ο γιατρός θα είναι σύντομα μαζί σας." The silver robot says, extending a hand tipped with needles.
The gold robot's three glowing eyes blink briefly before turning yellow. "Νέα δείγματα εντοπίστηκαν. Αναλαμβάνοντας Δείγμα τρόπου συλλογής." It warbles.

Tabitha Flynn |
Damn it! Forgot to post when I typed! >.<
Tabitha's eyes widen with amazement then worry as the two machines begin to make their way to them. "Wait! We're not things to be collected!" She states. She tries to frantically to figure out what the purpose of the two machines are for.

The gold-coloured bot looks like it might be some sort of collector robot--a type of machine equipped to collect living specimens. Its carapace is much tougher than the medical robot, but it's vulnerable to sudden electric shocks and impacts. You glimpse a blinking set of eyes on its backside--it looks identical to the eyes on its front. Flanking it appears to be impossible.
Tabitha Flynn |
Tabitha relays the information she recalled. "The silver one is a medical machine, not that tough. But the other one is much tougher. It can't be flanked, but electrical attacks should work well."
She frowns a bit. "Tabitha wishes she learned that shocking grasp spell now!" She holds back till the others engage the machines.
Can't really do much this turn, will delay and wait for next turn.
GM_Ironcat |
"Really? Well, we'll see about that." Jasper grins and leaps at the gold-coloured robot with Malin in tow!
