Here is the info I have:

Hot Weather Outfit: 8gp
I'm Hiding In Your Closet Nemesis Melek 40025 11 The Exchange
Day Job #2: = 26.
Hot Weather Outfit: 8gp

shalin Shar-Lyn the wanderer 85932 1 Grand Lodge
day job - perform sing
sing 1: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
Please, double check that this is all correct. I do need Old Shuck's PFS Number, but otherwise everything looks good. Also, who will be leveling up after this? And how long do you need to update?
Nemesis Melek |
I won't be level 3 until the end, if I'm not mistaken.
I bought 2 gp worth of rations, and 1 gp worth of bolts. The pyrography kit is 1 gp.
Also, please note that my earning 50 gp on a Day Job check earns me an Exchange Faction Objective Card thingelidoot.
Van Potter |
Everything is correct except Van did not purchase the hot weather outfit nor the chill cream since Endure Elements made those extraneous items.
I'll probably need between 24-48 hours to update depending on what day we receive our chronicle sheets. Van will not be leveling.
Tholand Warmane |
I won't lvl up til the end. Purchases:2 potions of CLW, 2 potions of Endure Elements

Part 2 will being shortly.
While we wait, can I have everyone (who is interested), tell me which Faction Card Goal they would like to mark off and why they think they accomplished it.
I have the Chronicle Sheets ready and uploaded, but I need one last thing before I can issue them. Can I get a Diplomacy Check from Van Potter and Nemesis for their extra Exchange Boon.
Van Potter |
Van made a Diplomacy check to influence the miners and got a 20. Is there another check to make on top of that? I can post a link to the roll later when I can get on my computer.
DM Beckett |
I'd also like to hear your thoughts on the scenario. Personally, I didn't really care for how it seemed to go from 1 worthless combat to the next worthless combat to the next worthless combat to the next worthless combat so back to back. I also kind of felt that it sort of left a lot out that could have been a lot more interesting. Would have probably been better to explain in the briefing just what the heck the VC did or might have done rather than have you stumble into town with everyone not liking you because someone did something. I think it would have played off a lot better having the Aspis Agent clearly embellishing the troubles you partially know about than just having it hit you all at once and you (or I for that matter) have no idea what he actually did. Heck, was it even the missing VC that did it? I don't know.
Far too many convoluted ways of doing something that could have been simple, just because the group might not have Diplomacy/Bluff. Yah, I really want to see a scenario that allows people to use Int, Wis, and Cha for their Attacks just in case there is no Fighter or whatever in the group. <Personal ARG!!!>
But, I'd like to hear your thoughts. Good, bad.

I dont have faction card here in korea but it is on the way is there somewhere that i can look at them and tell you whuch one i am going for

I thought you ran it well. I also agree that ismt was combat to combat which i liked for this character lol but not for scenario as a whole

Peribras Sandlock |
I'm inexperienced, but I've encountered few (low tier) PFS combats that felt challenging for a party of 6 with at least one or two people who can do at least decent damage.
I liked the way you ran it, for the most part.
I can't remember my faction journal options and probably won't be able to look soon. If you need it now, I'll go for the "adventure outside Absalom" one.
I think I PMed you a much longer shopping list at the beginning of the scenario.

Nemesis Melek |
As previously mentioned, I get the "50 gp on a Day Job" bonus.
I'd say I enjoyed the adventure - there were other challenges than the three combats, and I wouldn't call the combat encounters "worthless;" the thing about low-level combat is that while typically kind of easy, if the enemies get lucky with their rolling, they can very easily be lethal to one or more party members. 4d6 fire damage COULD have flat-out killed me - and with luckier rolls, I'd say even that cheetah might have been able to successfully drag off a player.
Shar-Lyn the wanderer |
I thought it went ok. TBH I've only played half a dozen PFS scenarios (all low level) and they all seem quite easy.
Just finished one where I don't think we took a single point of damage in the whole scenario - and we weren't a super over powered party! So actually the kobold fight at the end was not too bad...
Otherwise you, Beckett, kept things moving, we interacted with the environment and each other a bit. Definitely good enough. Thanks for the time and energy required to run these things...
DM Beckett |
I got my sheet, I should be ready for the next part by Monday.
Sounds good. I should be done by then, and hopefully also have the intro up and running.

Honestly, I completely forgot because I saw this on my phone while at work. In the future, please add it here, so that it's easy to find and remember. :)
As for the PM, HERE is what I have, but I wasn't able to see anything, and honestly, I completely forgot about it so long ago.
As previously mentioned, I get the "50 gp on a Day Job" bonus.

You are most welcome. I'm also simultaneously running the High Tier version, and the threat level and way that things sort of fit in just seem to work so much better. Instead of a cheetah, it's a Wyvern, which so far is just so much more balanced a threat towards the party. The fight lasted into round three, and while it didn't deal much damage overall, it also wasn't a minor threat. It had enough attacks to engage the entire group the whole fight, and actually had the AC and HP to survive one round of combat, where as the cheetah kind of felt like it would have been appropriate for a solo character threat. It got that little surprise round burst, and that was basically it. Even if it would have survived longer, that's pretty much it. I'm also very disappointed that the Low Tier Chronicle screws you out of the special Handy Haversack. It would be cool to buy just because, and I think it fits a little better in the lower level area than the higher level area. I, as a player, really like these sort of "trophy" achievements, and would buy it just for the flavor. Very bad call, in my opinion, and I honestly hope they errata the scenario for that.
Does it count as defeating an Aspis Consortium member?
I'd say in a very out of the box sense, sure. I'll give you that. You did best him in the social arena. I do really wish that the scenario allowed more to this social encounter than it did, but I will say that it's not the last you have seen of the AC. . .
DM Beckett |
Below are some of the possible Faction Card Missions that may apply.
1.) Adventure in a nation other than Absalom. You may only receive credit for visiting a particular nation once.
2.) Forgo a Day Job check to finalize a report to the Pathfinder Society. Doing so requires a successful DC 15 Intelligence,
Wisdom, or Profession (scribe) check.
3.) Complete at least three consecutive scenarios in which you completed both the primary and secondary success conditions.
Sanctioned adventures that do not include secondary success conditions neither interrupt not contribute to this goal.
4.)

5.) Defeat one or more members of the Aspis Consortium in an encounter whose Challenge Rating is at least equal to your
character level.[/ooc]
1.) Liberate one or more slaves, captives, or hostages during an adventure.
2.) Defeat a known slaver whose Challenge Rating is at least equal to your character level. For the purposes of this goal, use the definition of slaver from the Freedom Fighter reward. (5 slaves)
participants. Succeed at a Diplomacy or Perform (acting, comedy, or oratory) check with a DC equal to 15 plus your
character level.
Peribras Sandlock |
ooh, I might be eligible for the consecutive scenario one

I think i got the slaver one yes? The bbeg was holding more than five minors as slaves and had a cr rating higher than 2

Nemesis Melek |
Okay, yeah. I guess I'm updated too.
I'm also selling off my explorer's outfit in exchange for a courtier's outfit and jewelry (a net expenditure of 75 gp), and am spending my 2 Prestige for a wand of endure elements.
Nemesis Melek |
@DM: You keep referring to "minors" when I'm pretty sure you mean "miners." I "minor" is a person who has not yet reached the legal age of adulthood, and such laws must be damned labyrinthine on Golarion. 8)

Looks like I have 12 Fame. With 6 scenarios under my belt I think that makes 6 successive scenarios completing both objectives... bugger, I'll have to check to be sure they all had secondary objectives. Do GMed scenarios count? Maybe I can at least get the 3 successive scenarios one. I'll find out tomorrow.

Yup. 5/5 secondary objectives completed. 6/6 if the GM credit counts.
Give me the 6 consecutive one if legal, otherwise I'll go for the 3 consecutive one.

Oh... well I can't do either of those then. I'll take the Aspis Consortium one then.

Gah! Wayfinder ate my post.
here is the spreadsheet I tried to share with you before the previous scenario. I don't think Peribras used any of the consumables, since the Endure Elements potion was from that other guy.
Purchasing a combat-trained pony (45hp), a military saddle (20gp), a bit and bridle (2gp), saddlebags (4gp), and hide barding (30gp).
Non-Proficiency with the armor will make for terrible attack rolls and poor jumping, but outside of combat I may be able to spare a few minutes to remove and then re-don it for jumping purposes.
Unfortunately this means the guard dog (that I forgot to use last scenario) is no longer available in combat. As I remember the mundane pet rules, though, he could still smell, hear, see, stand guard, etc. With only barking for communication (no Empathic Link) he won't be able to give specific (or useful, most likely) information, of course. I see this as basically GM discretion whether or not the dog (and/or horse) get Perception checks and how they respond.

I'll add the mount and gear on to this one. As for the others, to avoid confusion, I'll leave it to you to add if you want, as I'm not sure what on that list you have purchased already.
Peribras Sandlock |
I don't remember using anything, during the previous scenario, from the list I sent you.
However, usually I just track purchases myself, writing the total spent on the Chronicle Sheet after the fact.
Tholand Warmane |
Sorry for lack of posting, Thoril may be experiencing the same problem, Wayfinder hasn't been allowing me to post, and seeing how I've been away from my home lately aside from sleeping, I haven't been able to keep up. I'm sorry again and hopefully I'll be able to keep things moving....
Peribras Sandlock |
I put the stats for the pony in a profile linked from Peribras' profile page, FYI. It should match the bestiary war pony, except I added in the Hide Barding, as well as the associated non-proficiency penalties.
DM Beckett |
So, one of the more interesting things about this scenario is this part. It's going to use a variation of the Chase Rules, with two big twists. One, you are the ones being chased, not trying to catch up to someone else.
Second, it's your team vs the Aspis Team, loser gets eaten.
Now, with that being said, it is also handled a little bit differently.
Throughout you have two options. One means you help your team to go faster. The other (on the bottom half) means you try to sabotage the Aspis, slowing them down.
You must, however, roll one or the other. No Delays, Readies, I sit back and watches here. You may, however, use certain spells or features instead, if thy can affect a 20x20 sized T-Rex or are basically non-damage dealing area spells or things like that.
Failure, unlike a normal chase, does not mean you are stuck, it just makes it harder (for the team) later on. A Nat 1, though,. . .
Now, with that being said, I've also added a new map just for this.
You can find the link at the very top.
I have heard that there is now an App for Google Spreadsheets, and, AND, it allows people that download it from phones to edit it from touch screens, something that Google Drawings does not. So I wanted to give it a try and see how it works.
Please let me know.
And have fun running for your lives!!!!
Nemesis Melek |
A) Thanks, but you're posting in the wrong thread.
B) Wait, what potion is this?
C) Is there a chance we can just fight it? I'm singularly ill-equipped for most of the challenges here....
DM Beckett |
It's extremely doubtful.

Fort +15, Ref +12, Will +10
OFFENSE
Speed 40 ft.
Melee bite +20 (4d6+22/19–20 plus grab)
Space 20 ft.; Reach 20 ft.
Special Attacks swallow whole (2d8+11, AC 17, hp 15)

But, there are some twists in there, so just roll and have fun. It's not a normal Chase.
Peribras Sandlock |
The app you're thinking of (for *map* purposes) is Google Slides. Sheets is great for editing spreadsheets.
