NEW RULE: FAVORS:
Season of Factions’ Favor introduces a new type of support card: favors. Certain scenarios place favors into the blessings deck. When that card is discarded from the blessings deck, do what it says. If a favor would be encountered or removed from the blessings deck discard pile, banish it instead.

RULES: TRADERS:
In Season of Factions’ Favor, traders work differently than in Mummy’s Mask, in the following ways.
• When you are rewarded with a trader, instead of checking it off on the Bazaar card, record it on your Chronicle sheet.
• You do not visit traders after winning a scenario. Instead, at the start of each scenario in this Adventure Path, before setting out the locations, you may visit 1 trader you have recorded on your Chronicle sheet.
• Pay the trade cost with the usual number and type of cards from your deck, but instead of putting those cards in the box, put 1 in to your deck box and bury any others.
• At the end of the scenario, return the card you traded for to the game box, and put the card you returned to your deck box back into your deck.
For example, to pay the trade cost to a trader offering spells at a cost of 2 boons, put 1 of those boons into your deck box, bury the other boon, then add the spell to your deck. At the end of the scenario, return the spell to the game box and put the first boon back in your deck.

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

I'm playing a different character in the special.

Zarlova~ wrote:

I am using this character in the special. Anyone have time to do an analysis of how long our 3 player games are taking?

Also... it's a question of do YOU want a small break before the special too? ;)

All small break for me might be nice. I'm the ACG overseer, so I'm prepping things for it. But if you want to try to squeeze one more in, that is fine.

I think we usually get through one quickly enough, however, the next one looks like it could be slow. It has the normal number of locations (5 for 3 players).

DURING THIS SCENARIO
All characters start at the Garden of Ossumentals. If your location does not have the henchman Sekrephere displayed next to it, you may not move. You may move only to the first open location on the location list that does not have a Sekrephere displayed next to it.

The difficulty of checks to defeat a Sekrephere is increased by the number of displayed Sekrepheres.

At the end of your turn, if there are fewer than 3 Sekrepheres displayed, recharge an ally or blessing.

To win, close all locations.

Sekrephere:
Sekrephere
Henchman Barrier 5

Traits
Construct

Check
See Below

Powers
The check to defeat the Sekrephere is equal to the highest check to acquire a random blessing from the box.
When defeated, display this card next to its location deck. Close this location when each open location has a Sekrephere displayed. While displayed, when a character ends her turn at this location, she must recharge a blessing or ally; if she cannot, put the Sekrephere facedown on top of its location deck.

I think lets give Hawkmoon a break
Better quality prep for the special :-)
Happy to play again after the special if people are free :-)

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

Fair enough. We break until after the special.

Concur. We have forced upon you a break! You have no choice!

(Is there any chance we can have some chronicles? ;)

Yes. I thought I was taking good notes, but I think I missed the upgrades from the last 3.

4-4E (fail)
4-4E (succeed)
4-5A (succeed)

Let me know the upgrades you took then and I'll finalize the chronicles.

4-4E (fail): No Upgrade
4-4E (succeed): Ally 2 (Took Ally 3 but actually used it for an Ally 2 for my deck)
4-5A (succeed): Item 4 (Took Item 5 but actually used it for an Item 4 for my deck)

Will post later in the afternoon

Thanks (for the chronicles, i record the card you selected off the table, not what you chose from your class deck).

4-4E (fail) I No upgrade
4-4E (succeed) Spell 5
4-5A (succeed) armor 5 downgraded to armor 4

Rahali

I recorded the actual impact on my deck, not the actual pick.
A lot were higher downgraded as I am 1 tier lower

Thanks for running the games!
This was my first online PCAG and I Really enjoyed it alot!
Allowed me to get my fix even though there is no physical game play around home :-(

Scenario - Tier - Success - Replay? - Reward? - Deck Upgrade 1
4-4E - 4 - No - Yes - No - Spell 3
4-4E - 4 - Yes - No - Skill Feat. - Item 3

4-4 Completed Adv - Yes - - Die Bump

4-5A - 4 - Yes - No - Power Feat - Item 4
4-5B - 4 - Yes - No - Trader reduction, Acquire bonus - Spell 1

Your completed chronicles for Adventure 4 are here. Let me know if they look good. I'll put together the one for the first 2 scenarios of 5.

Is everyone ready to start back up again?

The Concordance

Oh yes! Keen to play Rahali again
Hope you had a good time with the special
I haven't played her and currently have the last trader cards in
Do I need to reset her to her base deck?

Query: From my cronicle sheet I have noted

04-3D Remainder of Path can swap blessing of choice

Does this mean I can go to my Card Box and swap in a Tier 5 blessing or do I get blessing from the Mummy's Mask box?

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

I'm fine with continuing. I never got a chronicle for 4-5A: Zarta's Assessment but it can be on the new one.

Looking at possible upgrades.

Blessing of the Seventh Veil (Blessing 4) Discard to add 2 dice to intelligence or charisma non combat check. Or discard to explore adding 1 die to those checks.

Rumor has it Eagle Aerie is good. Not sure what I would cut for it.

Grazzle BGiB wrote:

I don't see what is so good about Eagle Aerie.

Seems to be very situational e.g. avoiding locations that have end of turn or start of turn negative effects or to combo with someone who gets a massive amount of explores who can close a location and then move and dig into another
From what I remembered of your deck it was pretty tightly tuned and I can't think of anything to cut for a situational card

Link to Deck Handler ; Cleric 6 ; Looking For: Spell 6 -> Spell 6 -> Blessing 6 -> Ally 6 -> Item 6 -> Armor 6

The avoiding of end of turn and beginning of turn effects is nice. It's also nice for a healer character to have to go Cure someone without having to worry too much about coming over to the same location (since you can move at the end of the turn just before yours then move back to the location you really want to be at) (Although with how Grazzle works that part of the utility is lost on him since he can heal from other locations anyway).

The Concordance

Deck handler link

That would make sense for a Non Grazzle.
I don't think the value is there for Grazzle compared to the other spells he currently has

That reward means you can take any Mummy's Mask blessing and replace a blessing you have in your character's deck when we setup each scenario.

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

Well Pyrotechnic Blast loses some versatility since there are few locks so I could replace it. spells I could replace it with.

Cloudburst - Divine +3d6 and ignore BYA of non villain monsters.

Find Traps - +2 dice vs barriers.

Tbh there are no exiting spells left for me at tier 5 or 6. A slightly better healing spell at 5 is it.

I'll probably take ally for my next card feat to give me something interesting to upgrade to.

OK, will look at the MM blessings and see what there is.

If I can't find anything better, I will swap a Maat in.
(Love the after the die roll versatility)

Link to Deck Handler ; Cleric 6 ; Looking For: Spell 6 -> Spell 6 -> Blessing 6 -> Ally 6 -> Item 6 -> Armor 6

I will also do that, swapping out my Blessing of Cayden Cailean for Blessing of Maat. (As much for your benefit as it is mine for remembering. XD)

I will get things set up tonight. Did you want to change the turn order or anything?

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

No need to change turn order.

Btw Grazzle now examines 2 cards by recharging a divine card so I'll be doing that more often.

The Concordance

Ohhh, found this

Blessing of the Lady of Graves wrote:

Blessing 5
Divine~Undead~Pharasma
Discard this card to add 2 dice to any check that invokes the Undead Trait.
On any check, after the roll, bury this card to allow a character to roll her wisdom die and add or subtract up to that amount from her result.
Bury this card to examine your location deck, then shuffle it.
When you would bury this card for its power, if the top card of the blessings discard pile has the Pharasma trait, discard this card instead.

I am thinking to try this instead of Maat.

Another had any play experience with this blessing? If so, any feedback?
If not, general thoughts on this vs Maat?

Also the card we have to swap out to fit the blessing in, does it have to be a blessing or can it be any card type?

Grazzle's Deck Desired loot Blessing 4

Maat looks versatile.
Blessing of the Lady of Graves is interesting. The wisdom thing mostly just helps Zarlova. +2 dice vs undead would be relevant but we are all casters so Pharasma does the same thing.

The Concordance

Deck handler link

Wisdom is still a +/-1d8 for Rahali. More swingy than +/-3, however higher average and the ability to apply an exact movement e.g. roll 6 on the d8, can modify up to 6 if you need to hit an exact number
I was also thinking the examine the whole location could be interesting if I see the blessing early (love scouting :-) )
I think I will try LoG this scenario and then go back to Maat if it is no good.

I just double checked and I think the reward Raheli is looking at is from Plundered Tombs. It doesn't apply to this table because we are playing Factions' Favor.

Hi Guys

Was just rereading the scenario rules

DURING THIS SCENARIO
At the end of your turn, if there are fewer than 3 Sekrepheres displayed, recharge an ally or blessing.

HENCHMEN
Sekrephere:
While displayed, when you end your turn at this location, recharge a blessing or an ally; if you cannot, put this card facedown on top of its location deck.

My interpretation of how the game play goes is
- Find and Defeat Sekrephere
- Display Sekrephere
- End of Turn
- Do Sekrephere end of turn check - Recharge Ally/Blessing
- If you can't, Sekrephere is returned face down to deck
- Do Sscenario end of turn check - Recharge Ally/Blessing
- If you can't, nothing happens

If we can it it this way it means you need to keep at least 1 Ally/Blessing in hand AFTER you defeat a Sekrephere but you don't need 2

Do you guys interpret it the same way?

Guys,
If you have any doubt about a combat use the staff of curses to reduce difficulty by 1d4+4
I can do it twice.
Or if you have no chance even with the above, you can do a box swap of the monster or evade and top deck (evocation staff)
