Hrarsk studies the blueprints as best as he can. "Is there a nearby hiding place shown somewhere on the map? If not, we should probably run to wherever the engine room is."

South and east to the engine room?

Cleric 8 | Init +12 | AC 29 PD 25 MD 25 | HP 160/160 | Recover 8d8+9 1/3 | Melee +16 8d10+18

If the engine room is the one in the middle, it seems that going south-east-north-west would get us there, but there also seem to be underground passageways throughout.

Crossed Court

There is no labeling on the layout. The engine room is likely the room in the middle though.

Let's do it, before the site's engine stops working again.

Crossed Court

Unfortunately I'm off to Costco this morning. Hopefully the site is still up this afternoon.

Crossed Court

With all this extra time lost to Paizo.com being down, I'm going to jump us straight ahead.

The few live giants giants in the massive corridors between you and the engine room quickly become dead giants.

In a room with strange tubes full of viscous black liquid lies the final doors to the engine room.

Opening them reveals a large golem, made of dark metal. It immediately lights up and screchees in a high pitched robotic voice "Intruders detected"

Causing the vats to burst open and the slime inside them to coalesce.

You may not flee until the black pudding is defeated.

Bethany glances over at the coalescing pudding, worried about Fortuna's (and her own) safety with Hrarsk gone to fight the golem. "Hey Skillet-Scum!" she calls to the sludge, hoping to attract its attention away from Fortuna, "You look like something not even a bad cook would serve up!" Vicious Mockery!

No, it's not an action. Also don't forget to add 15hp.

Crossed Court

Nope, you still get your turn.

Fortuna staggers to the door, yelling at Hrarsk. "We need help! You're our only hope!"

Haste on Hrarsk. Extra standard action next turn. When escalation die is even, roll 1d20 and add escalation die. 16+ means extra standard action that turn.

Crossed Court

With Fortuna feeling a bit better she casts haste on Hrarsk.

Bethany isn't quite as bad off as it looked, but is not in great shape.

iron golem berserk?: 1d6 ⇒ 4
no.

It does however pound Hrarsk with its metal fists.
fist of Iron AC: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (18) + 17 = 35

The first fist connects solidly and the second one only wings Hrarsk.

Staggering Hrarsk.

Hrarsk is up (You have a second standard action this round, as well as a d20+2 to get 16+ for a 3rd action.)

Bethany is also up.

Cleric 8 | Init +12 | AC 29 PD 25 MD 25 | HP 160/160 | Recover 8d8+9 1/3 | Melee +16 8d10+18

I changed my attack bonus from +13 to +16 because I had forgotten to add in my epic magic item, is that correct?

Standard Action: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 yes

Combat Boon (Bless): 1d20 + 16 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 16 + 2 + 2 = 28

Combat Boon(Bless): 1d20 + 16 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 16 + 2 + 2 = 34

Two free saves with +1 for Bethany, Khellirin, or Doug.
25 temporary hit points to me for hitting while staggered.

Recharge: 1d20 ⇒ 15 yes

Energized by Fortuna's spell, Hrarsk manages to hit the golem twice before it has a chance to react. It crumbles to the floor, and Hrarsk takes advantage of his increased speed to heal his injured companions three times before any enemies could react. Divine Endurance: Fortuna, Khellirin and Doug can heal with a recovery for 150% of normal healing. Cure: Bethany can heal with two free recoveries and roll a free save against every effect (I think that makes 2 free saves). Heal: Bethany can heal with a recovery.

Regain (Divine Endurance): 1d6 ⇒ 2 yes
Regain (Cure): 1d20 ⇒ 11 no
Regain (Cure): 1d6 ⇒ 3 no

Wow... awesome combo, Fortuna and Hrarsk!

I'll go ahead and take one of those Combat Boon saves; Khel should probably take the other.
Free Save (Doug bonus, Combat Boon, Low HP): 1d20 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 + 1 = 5

Recovery: 8d8 + 3 ⇒ (3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 1, 2, 1) + 3 = 23
Recovery: 8d8 + 3 ⇒ (5, 6, 7, 4, 2, 6, 5, 7) + 3 = 45
HP: 89/128

Free Save (Doug Bonus): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Or the dice could just hate me.

Bethany's eyes widen in appreciation as Fortuna intones magic words and Hrarsk's form blurs — it seems as though he's all over the battlefield in the blink of an eye!

Feeling much better, the burly tavernkeeper roars her song defiantly at the phased-out spider as she turns to the pudding and attempts to enlist its aid.

Maintain Song (Hrarsk liked it): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Khel can have 7d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 3, 1, 5, 4) = 20 temporary hit points.

"♪ Oh skillet-scum, do kindly help me."

Changing her tone to a deep, smooth, puddingy tone, she replies to herself, "Help you?"

(As herself) "Help me!"

(As herself) "I told you you were just a scum,"
(P) "But now you see I'm much more!"
(B) "I see you might be taught to hum,"
(P) "To hum and give them whats-for!"

(B) "Upon their innocence you'll play,"
(P) "Yes yes that sounds delightful."
(B) "You'll beat them up and win the day!"
(P) "I'm positively frightful."

(B) "Lovely pudding to assist me, I who ill-used so!"
(P) "Two-legs, two-legs, do not lift me, let me kill you's foes!"

I'm attempting to discombobulate the pudding.

vs Pudding MD: 1d20 + 13 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 13 + 3 + 2 = 23
The pudding is confused until it rolls two successful saves.

End of turn save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
HP: 69/128

Everyone, don't attack the pudding!

Crossed Court

Hrarsk: A few problems:
1) That looks like Mighty Healing rather than Divine Endurance.
2) I see you rolling what I assume is the Sun invocation to regain daily spells but I don't actually see you having used the Sun Invocation this battle. In fact I see you having used it in the first battle today.
3)Cure at higher levels loses the daily tag and does not benefit from the sun recharge check. (Although moot in this case)
4) Your gauntlets are a champion tier item, so they provide 2d8 damage, not 4d10. Your level is irrelevant. (Not going to go back and fix earlier rounds)

I'll try and resolve the turn tomorrow night, now's a bad time to pbp GM anyway, I'm very grumpy with Paizo at the moment. link in case you're curious

Monsters:

Black Pudding
HP 470 | AC 23 | PD 20 | MD 19
Slippery: The pudding has resist weapons 12+.

Phase Spider
HP 250 | AC 24 | PD 23 | MD 19

Cleric 8 | Init +12 | AC 29 PD 25 MD 25 | HP 160/160 | Recover 8d8+9 1/3 | Melee +16 8d10+18

Regarding the sun invocation, I hadn't marked any of my abilities as used, so I must have either assumed that a new day had started, or just not marked anything (since I had regained all of my spells). I checked the previous battle, and I found I haven't reused any abilities other than the sun invocation. I also fixed the gauntlets for the future.
Also, Bethany gets two saves (from Cure), not counting the two from Combat Boon.

Crossed Court

Sorry for the delay, I should have my next update late tonight after work.

Crossed Court

Hrarsk, emboldened with divine power smashes the golem to bits before healing his allies of both damage, and hopefully conditions as well.

Fortuna's healing gets halved due to being out of recoveries, so 75% total and -1 to Fortuna's defense and attack rolls until the next full rest..

I think Hrarsk cast both cure wounds and heal on Bethany by dropping his move down to a quick, giving 2 free recoveries and use of a 3rd.

Bethany 3rd recovery: 8d8 + 3 ⇒ (4, 3, 3, 7, 2, 1, 3, 6) + 3 = 32

Getting her to 121 before the acid burns her down to 101, but at least she saves.

Meanwhile Bethany inspires Khel and discombobulate's the pudding.

The pudding, finally confused enough to attack somebody other than Bethany lashes out with a lengthy psuedopod at the nearby green spider.

Acid-drenched pseudopod PD: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28
leaving a burning wound on the spider.

ESCALATION 2
Hrarsk (65/160 T25) Staggered
Bethany (101/128 )
Pudding (106/470) Staggered
Khellirin (76/160 T20) Staggered (Ongoing 10 Acid) (Ongoing 25 Poison) <Healing Using Recovery x150%> <Free Save>
Doug (86/176) Staggered(Ongoing 10 Acid) (Ongoing 10 Acid) <Healing Using Recovery x150%>

Phase Spiders (Y 130/250 Ongoing 25 Poison) (G (220/250) 10 Acid)
Fortuna (52/140) Staggered, -1 <Heal via recovery x75%>

Khel and Doug are up, see initiative for notes.

pudding save: 1d20 ⇒ 20

The Pudding glances at Bethany, but keeps flailing wildly.

How many 20s can one pudding roll?!?

F Half-orc Bard 8 [ HP 73/128 | AC 25 PD 21 MD 23 | Recoveries 0/4 | Init +11 | Effects: none ]

Too many, DM.

Remember, guys, don't kill the pudding yet!

Male Human Paladin 8 | HP 176/176 | AC 29 | PD 20 | MD 21 | Recoveries 6/6 | Init 8

Recovery: 8d10 + 2 ⇒ (9, 10, 10, 7, 8, 1, 6, 2) + 2 = 55
+%150 would be 82

Doug recovers from some of the nasty acid burns and decides to focus his attacks on the green spider.

Sorry don't have time to look up disengage rules if someone wants to roll for me.

If disengage is successful:
Doug attacks the green spider.
Melee: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33
Damage: 8d8 + 18 ⇒ (8, 7, 1, 7, 5, 3, 6, 3) + 18 = 58

Save vs acid: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Male Wood Elf Ranger 8 | HP 160 | AC 27 | PD 22 MD 18 | Recoveries 6

Elven Grace Check: 1d4 ⇒ 1 Extra standard action!
Will use it on the recovery roll.

Terrain Stunt Check: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Recovery: 8d8 + 3 ⇒ (2, 5, 1, 8, 5, 7, 8, 2) + 3 = 41 x 150% = 61 hp recovered

I'm not sure how many saves I need or how many free saves I've got, but I'll roll a couple and let Rob sort it out:
Save: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Save: 1d20 ⇒ 12

Khel can't help but laugh at Bethany's clever call-and-response song, though his enjoyment of it is tempered a bit by her admonition not to whack the pudding which has harmed him. With a shrug and some quick footwork, he dances across the battlefield to strike at the green-venomed spider!

Disengage, Boots: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Stunning Hammer, Double Attack, Bless: 1d20 + 16 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 16 + 2 = 36
Damage, Boots: 8d6 + 17 + 2d8 ⇒ (1, 5, 1, 6, 6, 5, 4, 2) + 17 + (1, 4) = 52

Argrimmosh, Double Attack: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19
Damage: 8d6 + 16 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 4, 6, 3, 6, 1) + 16 = 49

I used Cure, which gave Bethany a save on everything (2 things) and Combat Boon twice, which gave anyone a save on something. I think that Bethany used 3 (1 from her turn + 2 from cure), Doug used 1 (from his turn), and Khellirin used 2 (1 from his turn + 1 from combat boon), leaving one save from combat boon for anyone to use.
