Why isn't the Ricochet cantrip on the Primal spell list?

Ricochet has the metal trait (one of the elemental traits correponding to an elemental plane). The metal trait is an option for Mystic Elemental focus spells like Elemental Weapon and Elemental Barrier. It just seems like it should be a Primal option for casters focusing on the plane of Metal.

I know in my home games, I'll add this to the Primal list, but it would be great for it to be added officially via errata or something.

My main guess is because Ricochet was originally more of a Destructo Disk-like attack, and dealt force damage rather than bludgeoning or slashing. They must have decided that force damage was too good for a cantrip to deal, given how infrequently it's resisted, so they changed it and forgot to have another look at where it would thematically fit.

From a pragmatic point of view, it is also very nearly an exact duplicate of electric arc which is already on the primal list. So there is no NEED for it to be on the primal list (yeah, I know, both are on the Arcane List)

It's more about having a variety of damage types available. Yes, it's just like Electric Arc, but electricity damage isn't always desirable.
