So Avenger rogue actually has to mark prey first to sneak attack with divine weapon?

Does slay or Doom help kill more enemies though than a fighter possibly? Doom might not since they have to be doomed 4 to die, but Slay sounds like it could be cool?

There's too many options for this concept. It's overwhelming. lol. Like a Thief Rogue with Monk Dedication could work. Laughing Shadow magus, Avenger Rogue, Fighter with some "ninja" skills, swashbuckler could even work.

The problem with Slay (and Zealous Inevitability) is called incapacitation trait.

So in order to work many conditions needs to be archieved:

  • The first point is that you need to hit the enemy twice with Zealous Inevitability something that not always would happen and will require at last 2 rounds due the Flourish trait.
  • After the target is doomed 2 and still alive (this is important the target could be killed by the party before it reaches doomed 2) you can use Slay only once vs that target if you hit this target will to a fortitude save vs you class DC to check if it will get a 4d6 (fail in save), 2d6 (success in save), no damage (critical success in save), die (insta killed if critically fail but only works vs enemies with same level or lower than your level due incapacitation effect).
Ps.: There is a dubious reading of Slay that will depend on how your GM interprets it. The way "This is an incapacitation effect" is written makes it hard to tell if it applies only to the death effect or to the entire Slay, since it is in a separate sentence. My interpretation is that it is only to the instant death effect, since the incapacitating effect is not listed as a trait here, but I would not be surprised if some GM interprets it as applying to the entire action since it is not clear enough what would make Slay even worse.
  • Kill the enemy with doomed 4 curiously can be easier due Zealous Inevitability adds an additional will save vs your class DC to the enemy killing in a failure or a critical failure if the enemy is stronger then you due incapacitation effect. The point is that you need to hit all 4 Zealous Inevitability and the enemy needs to fail in a will save what usually means that this enemy probably could be killed before reach it due normal damage that it will get during all these 4 rounds.

So it's very unlikely to these doomed dependent feat to be really effective unless your party have some spellcaster using spells that increases the doomed condition or is full of Avengers and/or Warriors of the Legend!

  • I'm just going Ruffian rogue with Katana 1 handed most of the time and 2handed when I run into something that can't be hurt by sneak attack. All the skill feats and skill enhance is yummy too.
