So I'm in an unusual situation. I have one group that has started CotCT, and now a second group, that has members from the first, wants to play SS.
What changes would you make to remove any CotCT spoilers?
I'm reading through things now, and it seems all the issues are in book 2, the grey maidens. Would it be enough to just change then to some other mercenary group? Any suggestions?
The true location of S doesnt seem like an issue to me.
Is there anything else I am missing?
If they're far enough in Crimson Throne that the Grey Maidens have been introduced, you could say they're a contingent sent by Ileosa to investigate ruins related to Runelord Sorshen. The Shard of Lust would probably be a good addition to Ileosa's arsenal.
You could even have some messages the Crimson Throne party can find about how Ileosa's research into the Lady's Light has proven fruitless, or how there was an issue there that Ileosa can't deal with now because of stuff the Crimson Throne party is doing.

Or, conversely, you could describe them as anything but. Then, by the time that they reach the Grey Maidens in the CotCT, it could be a neat Easter Egg.
To be fair, I am not sure how in detail the situation delves into their history, but you can refer to them as armored women, or armored warriors, rather than Grey Maidens.
