This is another South Korean zombie series I had heard about awhile back. I finally started watching it last night, but only got one episode into this first season. It's high school teen drama meets zombie apocalypse. At least that's how it's starting.
There's the cast of characters you'd usually find in a high school. There's also the creepy science teacher, a supposed genius who has something to do with the zombie virus (not sure what yet, other than his son seems to be the first victim, and he's got an infected hamster as well).
Anyway, this first season has 12 episodes. I heard it's renewed for a second season, but I'm not sure when that's coming out.

I'm just over half-way through season 1 now, and it seems we have super zombies. I approve. I just wish the bully super zombie and his former victim super zombie would meet up. I dearly want to see her kick that one-eyed douchenozzle's butt.
Normally by this point in a zombie show or movie, I'd be cheering for the zombies because the people are either evil pricks, or dumbasses unworthy of survival. Oddly enough, I've yet to reach that point in this show. At least not completely.
I like the main group of survivors in the high school well enough, but my favorites are the two archery team members and the kids they found in the bathroom. Those four are armed and actively destroying zombies.

I finished season 1 last night. It was a great show, with lots of heart, action, and thrills. I was a little disappointed in the ending, mostly having to do with one of my favorite characters not surviving. Although I can see it would be slightly possible to bring him back.
They left some intriguing possibilities for season 2. I'm curious which direction they'll go. Will they stick with as much of the original cast as possible? Or will they go wider, with various powerful groups trying to take advantage of the virus? It'll be interesting to see.

I never paid attention to this thread until just now, when I saw mention of the show in your Did you know...? thread. I mentioned last month (in your Aberzombie's Comic Book Reminiscing thread) that I watched the first four-and-a-fraction seasons of The Walking Dead. This past week, I watched a South Korean zombie apocalypse movie called #Alive (and I could say a few good things about that one). I went on to pick up The Walking Dead from where I left off. I didn't know that All of Us Are Dead was so popular. YOU clearly like it. Maybe I should check it out one day (unless maybe there's another series or movie of that sub-genre that you would recommend more highly.).

Thanks. I'm new to zombie apocalypse stories and I'm still hoping to find one that will REALLY impress me. So far, I haven't found any I like better than The Walking Dead.
And until last week, I had no idea that South Korea is such a tremendous source for the sub-genre. I wonder why that is.
The first few seasons of Walking Dead were adequate. After a while, however, when it became more about the fights with the other living, the show grew stale and I stopped watching.
The South Korean stuff is, in my opinion, really good. The stories are told well, the characters are interesting, and for zombies they even experiment a little with origins and such. I plan to branch out into some other South Korean shows, just to see if they measure up.
