JGray's Untitled Campaign

Game Master JGray

I've been jonesing for a chance to run the Leverage RPG ever since I read the rules two years ago. Now, after bingewatching the series (again) I think I'm in a good place to do so.

Good Guys Investigations will be a straight Leverage RPG game. I'll want a classic team: Hacker, hitter, grifter, mastermind, thief. I'd prefer players to be familiar with the show. This game requires collaboration, a willingness to make stuff up, and even a willingness to go back in time via flashback and make up stuff you didn't make up before. In other words, there's a strong need for flexibility and creative thinking/invention.

Will it work as a PbP? Don't know. But I'm willing to give it the old Nate Ford try. Maybe with less booze.

Anyone interested?

I've never seen the rules for it, but he show was one of my favorites. Do you have links to a PRD type website?

Alas, no. Cortex Plus is not an OGL system.

I watched the series for the first time last fall, and absolutely loved it!! And of course immediately thought it would be an incredibly awesome and badass game to play in.

I know there's a specific ruleset out there for it, but I feel it could easily be run as a PF game(yes, fantasy aspects like magic included), maybe incorporating the special elements from the Leverage game?

Were you to go this route I would suggest considering using gestalt characters, but requiring one half to be rogue. Archetypes would allow each PC to be different in specialization, but still basically be thieves.

If this gets off the ground, I am so applying as the thief. I freakin love Parker, and I feel her overall personality fits me best.

Part of this is I want to use the ruleset, so I wouldn't be adapting to Pathfinder.

I do love games with flashback mechanics! Huh.

Do you have a PDF of the rules set, or can you point me to it? Loved the show, just need to see the rules.

Sure. Here you go!

Hmm...

I'm interested, but I have as many games as I can handle right now. But a couple of them are iffy.

LEVERAGE HAS A GAME?!?! I mean... Leverage has a game? I might be interested, maybe, just a little. I would totally play if this recruitment becomes a thing.

It does. It is awesome. But it doesn't seem the interest is here. Ah well.

I have enough interest for 10 people but I can't find a version of the rules that I can afford. Blast!
