How do vampires work in geb my group is currently doing bloodlords and the question how do vampires go about their business in geb and deal with the sun.
I tried going through the impossible lands book for an answer about it but only found that mechintar and yled had high buildings and awnings that covered some streets.
The only magical sun protection I saw was specifically for the ebon mausoleum in mechintar
So my question is, are vampires just making due with low tech anti sun solutions or are yled and mechintar guarded by some magical means?

My very first assumption would be that Geb has a much more active nightlife than many other nations with similar levels of urbanisation. Individual vampires probably prefer only to be outside when the giant sky laser isn't out, but if they have to, undoubtedly they employ all manner of personal protections from full-body concealing clothes, magical parasols, and perhaps even underground markets and tunnels.
I don't know any official examples, however.

Vampires in Geb also tend to be part of the upper crust, both because the living are second-class citizens already, and vampires are some of the more cogent kinds of undead. It's entirely likely that most vampires have servants or go-betweens do all their daytime business, and weaker or poorer vampires just have to make do until they can amass that kind of capital.

The richer and/or more magically skilled vampires in Geb have probably invested in magical items and/or researched rituals to allow them to operate in daylight; if they feel that it's important enough. Or they leverage their societal influence to make others come to them at night, underground, or in buildings with protections (like Qhallaqh Manor's red glass).
The "less noble" vampires probably have to lump it and avoid daylight as they can. It's not like Geb (either the country or the ruler) would care if some individuals, even if they are undead, experience difficulties.

Considering the extremely toxic and enduring pollution that still surrounds the city, I wouldn't be surprised if daylight simply doesn't reach Mechitar at all. Every image I've seen of it has been quite dark, either nighttime or the equivalent. An unexpected benefit for vampires, perhaps, granting them a degree of freedom unavailable to them elsewhere.

Maybe not unexpected.

In any district that has significant powerful vampire aristocracy I'd suspect that the local streets are covered by a ceiling, creating an entire area where they can travel by day without fear of sunlight. There would be a 'night market' district for them, where they can hang out during the day, and covered walkways between buildings in 'the vampire district.'
It would also follow that they'd have a blood market. Not every vampire would be a high-powered aristocrat, and some would be new or 'lower-status' and need to get their food somewhere else. The highest status might have their own live-in supply, but others might have to go out to the market, and depending on their resources, they might even have to settle for animal blood, since I'd imagine 'the good stuff' costs more.
