why is there no mythic version of miracle?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

this has really been bothering me since i wanted to make a mythic creature comparable to Cthulu that uses divine spells. just seems kind of a gimp that there isn't a mythic miracle. can anyone tell me if this was an oversight, design choice, or something else?

Is there a Mythic Wish?

Probably space-saving.

Anyway, Legendary Games have it covered in the Mythic Spell Compendium (it's pretty awesome).

I won't spoil the whole thing, but it's pretty much mythic wish with some interesting augmentations (like, say, at 6th tier, for 4 mythic power and a swift action, get mythic commune with your deity about your intended miracle).

Why would you need one? Miracle can do anything the DM approves of it doing, so in Mythic games just approve of stronger things.

Silver Crusade

What would you have it do? Miracle is already a do-anything spell that is as permissive as your DM and your imagination would allow.

Not that I know of. You can augment a wish with mythic power to cast a silent stilled wish, but that's it.

EDUT: Upon looking it up, there IS a mythic wish, but all it does is add a few "safe" options and allow you to duplicate mythic spells (all of which you can do with standard wish if you are willing to play dangerously)

yes

then I would probably have it act like Mythic Wish, they're similar spells :-)

You have to because they didn't print a mythic version. Same reason they didn't print mythic versions of a lot of other spells. You might not like it, I don't either, but nothing you can do about it and the reason x spell was chosen over y is honestly moot. This holds true for why certain feats don't have a mythic version.

I do know that there are some 3pp books that have more mythic spells so if you want someone else's rule then check them out.

The Mythic Adventures book had finite space.

That's really all there is to it. There's only so much that Paizo can stick into a book, and they leave it up to GMs/3PP to fill in the rest.

I strongly recommend the Legendary Games mythic products.
