Poor shopping experience

I have tried to order physical items and digital PDFs from the Paizo website, and I consistently encounter the same problem through different approaches.

I am unsure whenever I am finalizing my order. My most recent experience was trying to buy a $20 PDF that is still sitting in my cart. I was asked to verify my card verification number and, after doing so, click "Continue." This is not a button that leads to another page. It is a button that sends an order request to the bank/credit union/organization that holds your card. I clicked this button three time before I sighed, looked at my bank account, and saw that three requests were put on hold from Paizo because of this atrociously oversimplified user interface for shopping.

I still don't even have the PDF that is in my cart. Any time I have ever added an electronic item to my Paizo account, it was through Humble Bundle.

I have encountered an extremely similar issue whenever I try to place an order for a physical item. That physical item gets a hold charged, my financial institution never approves it, and more often than not the unclear widgets have gotten me to charge my card multiple times, leaving money that I would like to use for other things indisposed till my financial institution reimburses me and erroneously (but safely) informs me that there may have been a fraudulent purchase attempt.

I have been trying to place orders on the Paizo website for years. When will this insanely archaic and outdated system in place for shopping be resolved? I can't help but feel that a considerable number of products are never purchased and negatively affects the company's bottom line.

Sadly you are having the same problems i had. And the fact they are not using even Paypal makes the thing even worse. I had an order of a bounch of manuals for a total of more of 130 euro.

I had to null it because their credit card merchant is absolutely bad and the costumer service was so useless i could not get my order.

One should not go trough all of this if is attempting to pay you for your product.

I resorted to wait and get in to it when they will finally sort out this mess.

And a year already passed so.


There's a physical product or two that I would love to buy at paizo.com, but this thread worries me. Could anyone tell me if anyone successfully ordered a physical product at paizo.com lately?

Okay, I ordered something from Paizo.com and it arrived today.
