What weapons might you recommend for a thaumaturge?

I like:

Whip (or other 1 handed reach)
Unarmed
Boomerang
Macepistol
Longsword

Seconding boomerang (and not just for the joke of bringing it back).

Dark Archive

At low levels I've been using a scorpion whip or a sai, depending on the foe.
Covers the 3 damage types and keeps me close enough for amulet reaction, but reach is nice.

Kinda new with the thaumaturge.

Does the implement affect what weapon might suit you more?

ps: At first I laughed at the boomerang, but it's pretty good!

For plate armor builds, flickmace takes the prize for 1 handed, reach, bludgeoning and crit spec. Runner up is the asp coil for 1 handed, reach, S/P.

For dex builds, boomerang.

Okay, "you're boring." But so am I because longswords are THE knightliest of knightly weapons!

Let me see that for a second... *bends blade at an angle* Ok, now it's the right shape to be a boomerang!

Breaching Pike isn't bad either.

I don’t think that’s what they meant with the Versatile trait (although I do like it better).

Envoy's Alliance

"My name is Jinglemane, and I love to 'bite' enemies with my leiomano! I go up to them and bite them all day long!"

Jinglemane is a poppet lion-centaur, and believes that he should have a proper bite attack. Alas, his own teeth are made of felt, so when he found a club covered in shark teeth, he found his dream weapon.

Surprised no one mentioned "hands-free unarmed". Worried about always having the benefits of your passive implement? Never fear! Now you can enjoy your regalia, tome, and lantern 24/7. Just don't be afraid to get your teeth, talons, or tail dirty.

err my post which is the very first answer has them.

but i also think that the OP was asking for weapons due to weapon implement, and while unarmed are cool and all, they aren't weapons, nor can they be weapon implements.

Radiant Oath

I'm happy with the light hammer: agile, blugeoning, thrown 20ft.

Sovereign Court

I went with a rapier. Not because it's perfect for a thaumaturge, but because I wanted to make a champion of Arazni. But on a full-blooded champion rapier and fullplate aren't really a happy combination. Thaumaturge gives 1H weapons a boost so I feel okay about my damage. And feats like breached defenses give me a 1E smite evil vibe.

Scarab Sages

I have a whole guide to thaumaturges that has a whole section of the best weapons for the thaumaturge, seen here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1V6353NgXuNY3kjvQv2fw_dSsgD7bC9o4uv-UJCs aUhc/edit?usp=sharing

Reach weapons and thrown weapons are the best pick for weapon implements. Otherwise, I'm partial to the agile trait. With so much static damage, buffing your accuracy feels more important than using a d8 instead of a d6. Hatchet or light hammer are cool if you want a throwable option, though that spreads your stats thin.

It takes an investment because it is an advanced weapon, tamchal chakram is 1d6S, agile, finesse, deadly d6, thrown 20'

Character I was looking at was goblin with 16 str dex cha 10 con int wis. At level 10
18str 19 dex 14 con 10 int 14 wis 18 cha

Sovereign Court

I think the general consensus is that you can wear a gauntlet and wield a weapon in the same hand. The gauntlet's free-hand trait would cause it not to interfere with the main weapon for implement's empowerment. And if your main weapon isn't working out, you can fall back to the gauntlet.

With that in mind the bladed gauntlet is pretty sweet, since it's modular. Exploit Vulnerability makes you quite able to figure out which damage type you need. And it's agile and finesse. The d4 is a bit marginal but implement's empowerment can help there.
