Slotted Boons?

I can't seem to find any rules for slotting boons in the PFS pages.

What does it mean to "slot" a boon? What are the effects or limitations of doing so? How many boons can you have slotted on a single character, and for how long? Do you not get to use all of your non-advanced boons?

"Slotting" was removed as a concept after season one of PFS2. For boons w/o Ally/Advanced/Promotional there's not a limit.

There are limits to some categories of boons though:
Player Rewards: Boons

In most cases your ally/advanced boons are in limbo until you first use one, then its looked it for that scenario.
