PFS1e: Orc Legal

Does this apply to 1st Edition?

January 2023 Organized Play.

"As of today, the orc ancestry/species is now always available for both Pathfinder and Starfinder Society! Our oracles indicate a striking number of these new adventurers will be trained in Legal Lore or have the Profession (lawyer) skill. Adventure onward!"

The "Profession (lawyer)" comment makes me think so.

It seems a bit far-fetched to have a bunch of orcs suddenly joining the Pathfinder Society, as much as I would love to see some new options and love being given to PFS1. But who knows. I think we'll have to wait for a clearer go-ahead.

At the current time, this applies only to SFS and PF2. Stay tuned. Alex is looking into this.

That's a Starfinder reference--for now at least.

As an aside, I think the idea of making orcs always available is a clever move. I'd probably be building one or two myself if I hadn't recently started new half-orc PCs in both PFS2E and SFS. But Grazga and Talgoth both need to stay half-human for story and/or mechanical reasons.

OTOH, Talgoth doesn't have any points in Profession yet... :D

"Talgoth is a steadfast companion for any being traveling on their first jaunt!" Chance waves at Talgoth.
