Edit: Oh weird... somehow my response is before your post now? That's neat. Guess I'm a chronomancer.

I was told everyone was getting 80 AcP to start with, and that it would be retroactive.

Primary source would be the Organized Play Panel from Paizo Con. I assume it was recorded, but it's not showing up in Twitch's archives. I know they've been republishing the various panels to YouTube throughout the week, hopefully that one gets published at some point and we can link people to it.

On the SFS they talked a bit about the new factions. I think they talked a bit about some upcoming scenarios, but I was still finishing up other Con related stuff and missed the first 10-15 minutes of the session.

On the PFS2 side they revealed the new season's name (Boundless Wonder), we already have a blog post about which captures all the information we have.

On the AcP side: 80 ACP to all new and current players, in both SFS and PFS2. Yes there's some known bugs that they are working out.

That threw me off too!

Thanks for the info!

Is the idea to get more rare ancestries in play?

I haven't played Star Finder in a while has it changed that much in Society play?

I don't think SF has changed that much, but I'm primarily a PFS2 GM/Player, so aside from knowing that they're adding new factions, I don't really know.

Re the ACP, yes the intent was described as allowing people to play an uncommon ancestry as their first character if that's really the only thing they want to play -- ie you don't have to "pay your dues" by playing ~20 scenarios (or GMing 10) with an unwanted ancestry to get the one you want.

It also opens up some interesting chances to buy System Traveler boons even if you're only interested in a single system.

A large part is to allow more players who might want really be invested in a certain species that they could play in home games to give Society a try by allowing them the chance to play that species straight off instead of after several months of gaming. More new players in Society is a great thing and this makes that easier, as well as rewarding current players with the opportunity to try out some other stuff as well!5

I agree. I am wanting to play a dhampir or even a kitsune. When will the points be added?

You could, for example, use your SFS points to purchase a Ratfolk or Android for PFS.

That makes sense as well
