Luck domain ability

Rules Questions

Grand Lodge

Can you use the luck domain ability on yourself? I'm unsure and wanted to get clarification before taking it as a domain for my character.

Sczarni

Bit of Luck?

I don't see why not.

Grand Lodge

yeah that one...

Sczarni

Is there something that leads you to believe it wouldn't work?

Grand Lodge

You can touch a willing creature as a standard action, giving it a bit of luck.

Just the wording is non specific...doesn't say you can or can't...hence my question. Just wanted to clarify before taking it and finding out in game it doesn't work...

The Exchange

Are you a willing creature? Then yep, it works.

Bear in mind that it is a standard action, so using it on yourself is really only useful if you expect to be making saving throws in the next round (or possibly some skill checks that can be done as a move action).

Flagged for movement to rules forum.

There's a "it should make sense" sort of post by SKR regarding domain abilities (and other things) that last 1 round, basically saying it should last to end of turn if you wouldn't be able to get any benefit out of it.

Sczarni

Apparently I can't flag a post more than once =\

Grand Lodge

yeah, i thought posting in the PFS forum made sense, since i was looking for an official stance...

Sczarni

Campaign Leadership has no authority in answering rules questions. They're different departments.

That's why there's a Rules Forum.

But also, there's no reason to think this wouldn't work on yourself. Cure light wounds is worded the same way, and I don't think anyone would hesitate to use that on themself.
