the special at the very least confers creator intent in that you're not supposed to have multiple archetype "dips" at once.
It gives intent on how you normally gain the feat: it doesn't, IMO, clearly do so when you gain it from another feature that specifically tells you what requirements you have to follow and doesn't mention that special.
Multi-Talented is the only exception to this right now and a multiclass dedication at lvl 9 is much less valuable than it is at lvl 1.
It's the only explicit exception. That in no way means that an there are no ambiguous exceptions or that the ambiguous exceptions have to be clearly read one particular way.
I'm surprised only on person has mentioned the Multitalented feat so far.
It's not uncommon to see feats that do the same thing be worded differently [for instance, some ancestry weapon feats used to treat weapons as simple for proficiency while other just treated them as simple], so I don't see why it's relevant. Secondly, Multitalented is a 9th level feat where it's not surprising that you might have another dedication feat while 2 specific Ancient Elf and Eldritch Trickster only interact with each other in that way and it's quite possible that different people made them which means the interaction wasn't thought of and therefor not mentioned as it was in Multitalented. Until an errata, FAQ or dev comment, it seems like another 'ask you DM' interaction.
