On invisibility

General Discussion

ive seen references to needing specific vision types and so on to detect invisible characters...but can one try to shoot an invisible target? if so what penalty is there?

Thanks in advance

If you can guess what square they're standing in, you must pass a 50% miss chance for them having total concealment from you, then you must still try and hit their AC.

ahhhhh so thats how it works...see i come from 2nd edition dnd...that -10 to hit thing...thanks for the reply :)

With something like blindsense you get a rough idea of what square they are in. If you have Blindsight you know where he is so no penalty.
In Starfinder, Blindsense is not so rare anymore.
As Garret said, you have to guess the square without any special sense.
