Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk

3.5/d20/OGL

I would love to hear other DM's experiences with this module.

For example, the text "the Gallancz facade is easily penetrated..." but doesn't give any advice as to how Gallancz and Damaris might react if confronted or questioned by PCs on their deception.

Has this come up for anyone?

I've only just started playing a campaign where Expedition to Castle Greyhawk is planned to be played. One group of PCs has met Gallancz and is aware of his other false identity (i.e. they think he's really Robilar). They are searching for their father however and think Robilar has a connection to him (which is true, they were adventuring companions, albeit not as habitually as some others). The adventure proper hasn't begun yet, however. I'm starting another group with Castle Zagyg, plus Castle of the Mad Archmage.

Are you talking about the D&D3.5 hardback? I've had it, "Undermountain", "Drow of Underdark", and "Ravenloft" for a while but no one seemed interested in adventuring in them. So I cherry-pick things from them and sprinkle them into my otherwise homebrew games sometimes.

Expedition, the D&D3.5 hardback, was co-written by the Paizo gang and seems like they are putting their stamp of Greyhawk.

I wonder, if the PCs see through Gallancz' disguise and confront him and/or Ricard... do they fess up? Do they have a cover story? Do they bribe/threaten/trust the PCs with the secret?
