Ivan moves past the snake as well, who thinks twice about attacking the large bear, only to be hit by Swayaah's earth breaker, and to be smashes into a pulp.
Sartoss withdraws into the shrine beyond.
Double doors stand in the south wall of this huge temple. On the left and right of the door are six alcoves, some empty and some with rough bedding on the floor. In the center of the main chamber is an enormous pillar of green crystal. A stone serpent is wrapped around it, its head aflame. In the back of the chamber is a raised altar, and behind it a wall mosaic pulses with green light.
A narrow pit circles the pillar. The sound of hissing can be heard emerging from it.

I don't know if Ilvan needs to jump on that altar or not, since he's coming from the south. If he does need to jump...

Ketill flings a bomb at the snake-man, but the reptilian manages to evade it. It veers off, into the pit of snakes - where the hissing becomes louder and louder.

Vayu declares the large snake an easy target, then wastes two bullets on redecorating the walls of the shrine. The other two hit, though, and causing massive bleeding holes.
Zen'yr activates the protection on Sir Ilvan, then tries to cast a spell from a scroll without result.
Ilvan has only 2 images, so:

The big owlbear goes for the throat of the snake-man, but his attacks are all parried by the glowing rapiers the man is holding. No such luck against Swayaah, though, as her claw bypasses the man's defences and rips through the leathery hide.

Four stone pillars support the lofty ceiling of this chamber, each patterned like writhing serpents. Between two of the pillars is a large hammock. The room was once beautiful, but is befouled with piles of garbage, bones, and excrement in every corner.
Two ogrekin are here, one - miraculously, given the loud explosions - sleeping in a hammock, the other guarding the door to the south.
They haven't noticed Swayaah yet

Sartoss' library contains a large number of books written in Aklo. In his desk is a leather pouch with a number of gold coins, as well as some gemstones. The strangest thing in the room is a large serpent's fang made out of stone, about a foot long, lying on top of the desk.
