Drake hops out of the pool, shaking off the toxic liquid, and picks his staff up after putting his tools back in his pack. "I agree Djala and Tik, let's look to the south before we deal with any more liquid."

Looking at the sad state of his tail Tik asks for some healing before exploring to the south.

Cleaning himself off Drake agrees with looking south first.

Djala uses a combination of her medicine skill and holy healing powers to fully restore everyone to full health over the 30 minutes. She agrees with Tik in checking out the southern room first

Exploring the southern chamber you find the air in this room is befouled by a haze of smoke that reeks of burnt animal fat. Drizzling from corner alcoves, streams of pallid wax pool across the floor from the two-foot-diameter stubs of once massive candles, their sputtering wicks now moments from winking out. Beyond the alcoves is a semi-attached room filled with oversized metal and stone cogs.

Five vats of bubbling tallow in the western wing of this room are minor magical items that constantly keep their contents at a scalding temperature.

In the southern alcove stands motionless a vaguely humanoid-shaped mass of tallow or wax, its surface constantly melting, running down its body, and then hardening only to be reabsorbed into the central mass.

It has not reacted to your group entering the room.

If it is within 30 feet, Marguerite will cast Detect Magic, to determine if it is magic (and if the secret door is magic).

Once the threat from the furnace is eliminated, Squall helps Marguerite to her feet, then stands watch as Djala tends to the team's injuries.

Once everyone is healthy again, he and Djala take point once more. The tengu keeps a cautious distance from the hot wax located around this new chamber. When they see the bizarre wax statue on the far side, they make a very quiet noise of displeasure deep in their throat. "That thing's moving, but not moving, all at once. I don't trust it. None of us should trust anything down here, but that's weirder than most."

Djala frowns at the wax statue and proceeds cautiously to the doorway to get a better look. "Is this statue familiar to one of the more arcane persons? I do not know if it is something to fear or ignore."
