Also notes: If there are "internal dating" inconsistencies in the PathfinderWiki (the "not Fandom" one), it's mostly because it was published like this. For a long time, the companion line of books didn't have a "lore verification" pass, so many lore mistakes were published. Some have been fixed during the release of PF2, but many are too minor/obscure to be fixed easily.

Another point not yet raised, but alchemy is part of it. Lost Omens Firearms are an offshoot of alchemy research which isn't rare, but also not widespread, and not as heavily invested in as normal magic. But since Alchemy works just fine in no-magic zones, Alkenstar was sufficiently motivated to pursue it.
