After looking through through the inventor, the weapon and construct ally have a lot of really cool, really unique abilities, but almost all of the armor options are mostly based on just giving resistances. Pretty darn good resistances, mind you, but they just don't have as much flair.
Here's a couple of ideas I liked, many of which are either taken from or inspired by other posters, and totally feel free to pitch mores stuff:
-a piston fist or pile bunker type weapon that gives a strong unarmed attack.
-an unarmed ranged attack, like an iron man style palm laser or rocket punch. Or maybe rocket punching can be an upgrade to the first idea
-build in shield or force shield that be deployed with Raise a shield for an ac bonus, and shield blocked with. Imo, it should probably work kinda like the shield cantrip where hardness levels up with you, and a shield block disables the shield until to recalibrate it's unstable value or something. Upgrade paths might let you give the shield effects like the spellbreaker or let you use your explosion ability when you block to represent those more volatile barriers
-movement speed enhancements, because your power armor has servos that aid your running and such
-item boosts to skills; strong servos for athletics, built in camouflage systems for stealth, etc. Possible upgrade paths might be a weaker version of explosive leap (or one that lets you use it without risking unstable), getting concealment, and later hidden for the camo system, etc

All those look great!
- An Unstable Flurry of Blows breakthrough/feat would be cool, or a Power Attack type deal.
- Temporarily using the armor as a globe of invulnerability but it might break if a certain amount of damage is taken. The armor expands and surrounds the Inventor like a big shield--seems kinda fun.
- Diehard or Orc Ferocity-type effects representing rudimentary life support devices keeping you ticking just a bit longer.
- I may have missed it (I did a Ctrl+F for "size"), but enlarge or shrink effects.
- FLAMETHROWER. Or really any elemental cone attack, in addition to the Explode ability (which I don't like as a base ability).
- Minor teleportation, phase shifting, etc. at high levels. I think the technology the Inventor can deploy in general should be able to replicate certain spells, even with a 1x/day limitation.
- Bomb launcher. Put an alchemical bombs in and fire them off with a good range (60-90ft), and also treat them as held so it's a one action attack.
Some of these I think could also just be class feats, but some more offensive oomph for the armor and frankly some more attack feats for the weapon innovation would be cool.

- An ability that gives you bonuses against trip and shove (your armors connects itself to the ground).
- Elemental Charge: when taking elemental damage your armor charges itself with the elemental damage, which can be released as an explodion.
- Mech: An action that tranaform your armor into a small mech that covers you, but makes it more vulnerable to damage.

As is, the armor route is about movement and damage prevention. It would be cool to see more control type options too, something to make it hard for enemies to ignore the user. Battering ram, nets, stuff like that.
Also echoing the desire for more offensive options, nothing close to the actual weapon innovation but a sort of piston punch type of a thing would be cool. Bonus points if it could shoot out and return, probably on a chain.

Imo, I'd be totes cool if the only built in weapons we get are like 1d8 unarmed attack, with a trait or two, like shove or whatevs, a 1d4 ranged unarmed attack with propulsive and 30 ft or so range, and maybe a higher level boost similar to the robot buddy where you can take a level 1 weapon innovation and apply it.
I think control and utility are probably the best routes to focus on for expanding armor, make it kinda like a high tech champion in a way
