I just learned today that the European Union is now levying new penalty tariffs on additional categories of goods exported from the US. One such category, unfortunately, is tabletop games, more or less of any kind, and the tariff is a whopping 25 %.

This effectively means, anything from Paizo which is not just a book, has just gotten 25 % more expensive for anyone in the EU. Of course this will affect both products bought directly from Paizo, as well as those bought via local shops.

If anyone is interested, you can get a PDF of the regulation here from the EU laws library. The relevant tariff number is 95049080, you can check out the categorization here.

More unpleasant news in these unpleasant times.

Edit: I just saw that playing cards are at 10 % only, so it might be helpful if Paizo were to declare actual cards products as such instead of as "Games".

These tariffs are, of course, in addition to import tax, which is 19% in Germany,
