Alien pet class?

Do you think there is room for a pet based class with an alien creature? The game already has a robot pet option with the mechanic so it's not totally out there.

Grimmer space is a third party product in development that has a pet class. Has a horror theme to it. It's pretty cool.

There are also the purchasable animal companions. (and I think upgradable, I don't remember).

I think there's still room for a pet class, we might just have to sit and wait patiently to see it come out, first party anyway.

The animal companion system in Alien Archive 3 is surprisingly robust. I am using it for a vanguard to add some durability and damage. I'm also considering it for a caster to give something to use actions on when needing to conserve spells.

So robust that the collars for animals are also a very good investment for normal characters. Best environmental protection you can get in the game.
