Intelligence to sense motive, without empiricist?

Advice

Hi.

I have an alchemist i wish to have high sense motive for.
Are there, aside from the empiricist investigator, other means to use intelligence to sense motive?

I have unfortunately no room for extensive multiclass.

No. There are feats which give substantial bonuses - skill focus is obvious, fox insight might help too - and there's a trait which lets you use dexterity for sense motive 1/day believe it or not, but short of asking your GM to homebrew something you can't use Int for sense motive as a non-empiricist alchemist.

I don't know of any way either, so maybe ask your GM if you can take the trait Clever Wordplay with WIS instead of CHA.

Scarab Sages

1 level of Sleepless Detective adds Int on top of Wis for Sense Motive (and perception and diplomacy to gather information). If you don’t have room for an investigator dip, you may not have room for a prestige class. It’s 1 level instead of 2, but you need to take Alertness. You also can’t take it until 6th level.
