Link I'm in for anything with more Samuel Jackson!

Same here. Especially if it means it can fill in some gaps between Agents of SHIELD and the MCU.

Oooh, hadn't thought of this before, but it could even have characters from AoS in it!

Samuel L. Jackson? finally! this guy won't let the show go down to suckage level. He can talk back to idiot decision makers! :)

Great news! thanks Joel!

PS: I'm not devolving this thread and going into AoS... sorry... this is good news and want to keep it that way.

I'm still considering this good news as it might explain stuff more clearly about post Winter Soldier and other factors.

Considering what they did to his character in Fake Marvel, I'm not so hopeful.

Not sure I understand what fake Marvel looks like...we'll see.

This

Eh. I mean he was still just getting into the spy game...but I get your point. I'm not sure I like how they explained the eyepatch either...but it's a moot point after a while.

Still hoping to see Dum Dum Duggan and the Howling Commandos at some point. If a Nick Fury show doesn't have them, then I'll stop hoping for this and chalk it out to them only appearing as a one-time cameo in the first Captain America movie...

As much as I miss them, it's pretty hard to keep the WWII link between Fury and the Commandos alive. When they were created it was only 20 or so years in the past. Now it's nearly 80. By the time Fury was active, they'd have been long retired.

Im just hoping for some Hasslehoff.

I think we can pass on the Hoff myself...

But I wouldn't mind some how the Howling Commandos ended up in the 1990s via time travel...

AoS has demonstrated the writers are not shy about time-travel... just shy about bringing the big gunz actors.

PLEASE BRING THE BIG GUNZZZ FOR FURY!!! ALL OF THEM! :)

I'm guessing the show will be about S.W.O.R.D., which would make Quake a logical cross over character to include based on AoS ending.

Joel,

Not sure about that...but it's possible, sure.

Big gunz. Please.

I think we've all seen enough Quake.

I was about to ask how AoS is supposed to be the same setting as the MCU and they can have two different sets of rules for time travel, but then I remembered that Endgame immediately tossed its own rules out the window after stating them.

Time-travel, a.k.a. lazy writing for undoing too many things you've messed up.

I suppose this could be a planned thing and later movies and series show that Stark and Banner were wrong about time travel and show how the Avengers messed everything up, but Occam's razor, experience and general pessimism tells me the writers are just incompetent and they don't see a problem.

Back on track, even if they avoid making Fury an idiot in the series, there is a great threat of overusing him. He was fun in most of his appearances because he wasn't overused. I'm afraid we'll get something like AoS and Coulson: Coulson was fun as a supporting cast member but simply couldn't carry an entire show.

To be fair, that's in genre with how comics have usually treated time travel - A fun gimmick with specific rules for individual story challenges, always ignored for later time travel stories if not actually broken within the same story.
