Howdy!
So i'm just curious. What do folks think about this Injection rifle? The description is really neat. and the high level versions are really interesting because it has a cool debuff effect!
but I noticed on Nethys it doesn't have the signature effect on the low level versions-but is about as expensive as other weapons that do have a lot of properties. I don't own the book "near space" (yet) so I cant double check it, but I assume its right and the low level doesn't have the Entagled effect.
Do folks like this weapon? (at low or high level). Its got less ranged and less damaged than other alternatives (energy or piercing based). Less ammo as well. Also Unwieldy (which doesn't bother me as a Biohacker really). Simliar leveled i tems tend to have more of all of that, so i'm not sure on it.
But its style is just awesome to me. I love the idea of it being a Bolt Action or a Cylinder Rifle.
At higher levels this seems like a good weapon for a biohacker due to the debuffs though.
As I mentioend I don't have the book for it, so I don't know if its a special cultural weapon (like that Dispoian energy sniper rifle was/is)
But how do folks feel about this weapoin? I love the uniques for it, and biohackers are pretty limited to Injection weapons and I find the unique flair great. Though I really wish the level 3 version had the Entalged,

Well. The weapon description says "More expensive versions encase a fired dart in a monofilament casing." So I'd guess that's code for "only the higher level versions have entangle." So it's probably not an error in the Archives that the lower level versions don't have it.
The level 3 version seems like trash, in that you're paying a gigantic premium just for the injection property, compared to other similar level rifles.
But the other levels all look pretty in-line in terms of damage/range/cost.
