Adventure in Theros! An MTG / Pathfinder crossover interest check.

Recruitment

Hello! What with my copy of the Theros D&D crossover source book arriving sometime next week, I was thinking about starting a Theros Pathfinder game on these boards.

Would people be interested in a Classical Greek style hero adventure? With the flavor of the MTG world of Theros mixed in of course.

Would most likely want four to six players, depending on interest, with each of the heroes either revering a specific god (and therefore somewhat abiding to that gods interest and color pie for personality and beliefs), or not worshipping any, for whatever specific reason.

Will have more details together next week when I get the book in and can fully form a plot idea and storyline together.

Liberty's Edge

I'd be super into that as a history college major who plays MTG and Pathfinder

I remember there was a Ravinica Campaign a while back, not are how it went, but I always kicked myself for not applying. I'm definitely up for it, though I didn't play during the original Theros block.

Elspeth was always my favorite planeswalker, would being one of her followers be allowed?

That sounds interesting. I'm interested in hearing more.

Scarab Sages

Oh yes, I'm interested in the idea.

I would be interested as well. I'm not well versed in the lore of MTG though.

Consider me interested. I really enjoy MTG and stan Jace (cause blue is the color of parents everwhere: "Put that down!" "stop that!" "I swear to god, one more monster and I'm turning this game around!")

I'd be intrigued!

Silver Crusade

Very interested! I'm already thinking about a Hephaestus-worshiping Oracle of Metal with the Lame Curse.

What level would it be?

*sees MTG and one of the better settings* oh yes, I will be highly interested in this kind of Game, Although i wonder if you'd allow for somthing like a Custom Satyr, Since in Theros they are kinda the World's version of elves.

id be interested in playing a Satyr of some sort of Melee build if possible, I wanna be a Xenagos (red/green) worshiper. Possibly be a barbarian or Skald to Emphasize that

It's been a long time since I was at university, but yes! Me too!

Well, Theros itself is based on Greek Mythology, It doesn't use Greek Mythology, Opting to replace many of the gods with their own and even having their own Version of the Underworld, Multiple Death gods, And an entire Diffrent way that Undead work.

Infact I belive the world's Version of Zeus (Kranatos or something like that) is actually also the god of Knowledge

It's more designed to emphasize the system's 6 Mana colors(Counting Colorless) more than Actually be accurate to Greek myth

Did you have an idea about what level/power level you want us to start at? Also, can we be planeswalkers?

Well I just got the setting book yesterday, and have been reading through it today. Not sure what story I want to tell yet, just judging interest.

Silver Crusade

I'd also be interested, as a lover of history and longterm mtg player.

Since its a d&d sourcebook, would it be using tbe pathfinder or d&d rules?

I would be using Pathfinder, as it’s the system I am most familiar with.

Silver Crusade

This still happening?
