Tower Solacas Maps and Room Key gaps

Am I mistaken, but is the Tower Solacas confusing from a map perspective?

The First floor map (p. 20) of House Vonnarc shows a North-top map of the first floor of the Tower Solacas. B1 has a set of stairs to...

And here's where it falls apart. The rest of the tower (p. 32) is North-bottom oriented. That's ok-ish, but it does require one to reorient the book or page! Worse, just turning the book then reveals that it's mirrored? Yes it is! Argh.

So correct me from your experience or own understanding, do players going to Alicavniss lair follow the route of:

B1-stairs to B5.
B5-stairs to B7.
B7-through the doors to B8.
B8-stairs to B10.

But then the descriptions go silent. The Passage to the Void trap in B10 is described in some detail, and the map suggests that the circular opening is a passage to B13, when deactivated, but re-reading it, it really really doesn't say.

Thoughts from the community?

The question was brought up a few times in the Endless Night GM Reference thread. There was no official word, but the general consensus was that the "door" from B10 to B13 is trapped; if the trap is disarmed with the password, you can pass through to B13 normally. You can just see the hole in the floor on the map in B13 that matches up with the hole in the ceiling in B10.

So, yeah, the map orientation is unfortunate, but I believe you would go from B1 Entry Hall to B6 Guest Lounge to B5 Stairwell to B7 Hall of Mages to B8 Central Laboratory to B10 Master's Library to B13 Vonnarc Collection to B14 Alicavness's Refuge. (B3 Apprentice's Library leads to B4 Study Hall.)

All this. Thank you! I didn't know about the GM Reference Thread. Good stuff.

You're welcome! The GM Reference threads are one of the best things about Paizo APs.
