Changing Factions for Core PFS Characters

I have two Core PFS characters, and neither of them allows me to edit their displayed faction. All of my other OP characters (PF1 standard, PF2, SF) provide the option to change faction; it's just the Core characters that don't. How can I resolve this?

I tried to search for another thread about this, but couldn't find anything so I'll post here since it is relevant to the same issue.

When I create a Core Character, the faction choice option is locked out. Every character is just set as Grand Lodge. I believe this is essentially the same issue John seems to be having, being unable to change their Core Faction.

I just had a look at my Core PFS character i never played so far and well there is simple no option for me to change the faction. In my case i can only see the icon for Grand Lodge and nothing more in that area if i go to My Account -> Organized Play -> click Edit for Core PFS character -> only icon from Grand Lodge in my case nothing else in that area.

Would be a shame to not be able to change the faction like you are allowed to do so until you reached level 2, should my local lodge ever play Core PFS or i do play Core PFS online.

One of the online VOs (Tyranius, IIRC) was able to change the faction for me.

Good to know a VO can solve that problem

Not high on my priority list of the problems on this site i wish to see resolved, but it's still a thing.
