Is everyone at Paizo okay and safe?

I’m from the Seattle area, and I know that things are tense here and the coronavirus situation is changing rapidly. I hope that everyone at the Paizo office is doing well. I personally care much more about your safety than I do about getting products and shipments out the door.

Hey KickahaOta!

That's really, really awesome of you to ask after us, and it means a lot! We're taking precautions to make sure everyone is healthy, and we hope our community members are also staying happy and safe.

I thought it would be stylish and practical, but no one else seems to have gotten my memo about company-wide plague doctor masks...

^What Virginia said! It's very sweet of you to consider us. And FWIW, I don't know where to buy affordable plague doctor masks :(

It's so kind of you to be thinking about us!

I've been kind of obsessively watching all of the updates, news and guidelines about it, and just following along with the flood of quickly moving information has been kind of stressful. The city where most of the deaths have occurred is Kirkland, which is one of the cities that borders Redmond, and a school district just to the north of us has closed and is moving to online learning for two weeks. Personally, I'm definitely feeling a little frazzled trying to find the balance between pragmatic precautions based on science versus fear based decisions.

Physically though, still healthy and doing my best to stay that way :)

I was scheduled to fly out to the greater Seattle area this morning for a business meeting, but apparently the relevant county is asking employers to have folks stay home so I got a late-night call telling me to cancel.

Definitely stay safe out there.

They haven't let me out of the warehouse in a few months... What's going on then?

Nothing at all. Just stay in the warehouse.

The good thing about all this is that virtual hugs are CDC-approved! Virtual hugs for everyone. Is it possible for most of you to work from home?

We're working on logistical options to make sure that everyone remains healthy and so that we can take care of y'all at the same time.

Kicka, very cool of you to make this post.

Good to hear the Paizo folks are well and keeping an eye on things.

Glad to hear you are all ok. The real question is do you have enough toilet paper? (For reference for some reason many of my fellow Australians has decided the thing to do during an outbreak is bilk buy toilet paper so all the stores have run out).

Yeah, I don't know why but that has been going on here in Western Australia too. We have a shortage of toilet paper because of people panic buying toilet paper.

I am glad to hear you are fine at paizo.

I hope people are not panicking and buying everything in the Seattle Area.

I read news about Australia having brawl for toilet papers.

There is a shortage of surgical mask, hand sanitizer in France and some people were even trying to send expired surgical mask.
Some people are stockpiling noodle and cooking oil.

This is madness.

Our team will be working from home for a while.

I've been informed that the cheaper teabags are disappearing from Irish supermarkets.

The Seattle area is a weird place right now. Pretty much all big events are cancelled. There are still some people out in public, but everyone seems to be doing this very delicate social dance of trying to act casual while staying at least seven feet from any other human being.

On the bright side, the CDC says that packages and books are highly unlikely to be coronavirus vectors, so the Paizo warehouse should still be safe.

I'm not worried about the books carrying the virus, I plan on putting my books in the oven as soon as they arrive.

Very prudent. Make sure to wrap the books in aluminum foil so the virus is contained during cooking.

Just like Will planned it....
