What do you think about Assimar abilities?

Scarab Sages

So I've been playing around with herolab and I just noticed the abilities added in apparently blood of angels. They got me curious what other people thought of them. There are some very interesting ones in there e.g.

Gain Nourishment from sunlight = 1/2 hour of sunlight and water is all you need.
Armour appears to be made from gold/silver = you can make any metal armour appear to be golden or silver without changing its properties.
Non-Magic insects never bite sting.

Plus of course all the standard +x benefit to Y function.

I can see them being potentially overpowering e.g. you can easily get +4 to int, +2 to con just by picking one. However there are some very nice roleplaying ones such as the first one listed here don't bother with trail rations just pack lots of water and stay in the sun. I think if I were to play one in a game I'd want either that or the can't be raised as undead ability.

So anyway what are your thoughts about them?

The fact there are the overpowered ones in there poisons the chances of getting the others. it's not something I've given a lot of thought to for that reason.

They are fine to me, not overpowered at all. If you want overpowered there are some really powerful 0HD races out there.
