Extinction Curse seems like the type of AP that lends itself to some different music choices, whether traditional circus music or the dark and creepy twisted versions of the same. Let’s start a list of some good songs, playlists, and sources!

Here's a collection of classic "Screamer" circus marches (Traditionally played at the Circus when there's a bunch of things going on at once in order to hype up the crowd.) Might want to curate these to remove a couple of the super-familiar ones, but it's a good place to start. Though I admit that the recording of "Thunder & Blazes" on that playlist is one of the better ones I've heard.

I would be tempted to use some of Queen's more operatic music like The Show Must Go On, Who Wants to Live Forever and, of course, Bohemian Rhapsody to set the mood. Killing Floor's Carnival Mix would be good for the rival circus for a bit more of a horror feel.
I'd also be tempted to use some bluegrass/country inspired music for the between towns travel culture vibe, like The Dead South (e.g. In Hell I'll Be In Good Company) or The Flame in the Flood soundtrack (e.g. The Flame in the Flood by Chuck Ragan and The Fearless Kin). Something heavily acoustic-based but with a lazier tone.

Circus Clown Calliope Suite would be quite appropriate.
Really, just about anything on a calliope would work.

This might do the trick.

That's so sweet, and I found good boss combat music in the suggestions.

The fairground organ idea sent me searching on spotify and I quickly stumbled on this playlist. I had been searching for carnival and circus as my general keywords. For whatever reason didn't think to try fairgrounds.
I haven't listened to much of it, but after a random sampling it seems pretty promising. I'll probably use it as a spice in some of my other playlists.
