Wow, I don't think anybody (outside Paizo) saw Alazhra the Oracle iconic being replaced with a chicken ;-).
Seriously, she seemed like a solid character, but it sound like they will keep here around, maybe as alt-Iconic so to speak.
I do get the impulse for non-Human iconic, with majority still Human (appropriately) but this is reasonable way to show off APG races on cover.
I kind of am biased to Ratfolk not Tengu, but maybe they didn't feel a Ratfolk Oracle at this time, or have other plans for them?
(also present in Tian Xia, a Ratfolk Oracle of Emperor Cult would be great, but maybe APG isn't spot to delve into that?)

Meanwhile I'm happy about tengus :3 My first pfs character was tengu ninja and my kingmaker drunken tengu swordwoman is one of my favourite pcs so far.
I kinda get feeling that they will keep Alahazra as example oracle since why else the fire mystery's curse would be backwards compatible to 1e Alahazra? I guess it could also be in case they decide they want to keep original iconics, in which case I demand the swashbuckler gets replaced with tengu :p You can't take away tengu iconic now that you have unleashed the floodgates! That would just be cruel
